I would like to bypass my tractor's seat safety function with a separate on/off switch. I don't want to have it permanently disabled. Tractor is a 2023 Kubota L4060 ROPS model. I've attached a photo of the wiring. You can see where the safety engage button is located and where I would install a switch on the blank plate. My question is where do I tap into the wires, just after the button, or on the other side of the gray connector in the line? Also, I guess I have one other question...is this the only safety function, or is there another "switch" located inside the seat? Thanks.

You would have to give me the actual model your working on, as there are several L4060 ROPS units.

I will only tell you if there are mutiple safety switches which there probably is.
I will not tell you how to bypass it.

And FYI your dealing with a computer controlled tractor, get shorting out wires wrong and your very very likely to fry the ECU

Why do you want to bypass the safety switch?

My Personal / Business opinion, I think bypassing safety switches is a BAD idea.

I hate to state the obvious, but since its a mechanical switch, It won't be that hard to figure out how to depress the button.

Maybe because he's extremely derogatory. Been on forum two years, ten post and doesn't appreciate good information that doesn't suit him. Doesn't understand there is some information that others will not express on an open forum, but may be available by other means if really interested.

Hey, I have a switch that bypasses all the safety switches and I would have voted for Kamala in a heartbeat if I lived south of the 49th.
I just ordered a switch to do the same. If I lean to the left while hooking up a front implement all sorts of regulations kick in. :ROFLMAO:

It is annoying. When I'm mowing and lean over to grab something the "safety" shuts down the machine. If I'm hooking something up and need to move the tractor 1/2" I've got to go from the hydraulic lever side to the left side (where not much useful happens), get on sit down, take things backwards, ... lots of work to do almost nothing.

So I ordered a red switch. (Somehow in this case it does not mean Communist, as if someone in the media purposely misrepresented the colors.) Waterproof, illuminated when on, flat-faced so it can't be pushed accidentally, etc. It's going in the dash where it's plainly visible (and kind of annoying when on), so if that's not "safe" I don't know what is. (y)

(While I did order a very specific switch, the above post is meant in fun.)
