The end is 'tapered' and threaded. Fits into the sleeve. Then you just tighten the nut on the back side to capture it.OK, I'm curious.....

Just curious if the sleeve inner part is tapered also? I doubt it but just curious if it is.The end is 'tapered' and threaded. Fits into the sleeve. Then you just tighten the nut on the back side to capture it.
When you want to remove it, remove the nut, tap the spear and it comes loose.
I've had a couple that are tapered and when sucked into the tapered sleeve don't come out easily. They are not really made to be quickly removed in my opinion.Just curious if the sleeve inner part is tapered also? I doubt it but just curious if it is.
The sleeve is not tapered and I am glad it is not. Else, it would be very difficult to remove the hay spear. As it is.....it already is a snug and rigid fit.Just curious if the sleeve inner part is tapered also? I doubt it but just curious if it is.
