2,700 miles from my home, been cool to cook for the “kids”.

“Kids” are about the same age as
@Fordtech86. They’re pretty good folks, just like Ford…..

Just me and Geddy (the dog) home today.

Thinking breakfast for dinner.

Eggs, Homefries and Sirloin steak left from last year’s steer.

Since I’m not a fan of breakfast food, might just skip the eggs….🥚🥚🥚

Homefries are just potatoes (peeled/cubed Russet), onions, garlic, Seasoned Salt (Lawry's), little bit of thyme, EVOO, and butter. Add regular S&P to taste.

It's still Breakfast for Dinner in my book......;)

Sirloin looks great. I know some areas of the country prefer more done beef steak, but I was born and raised medium rare-rare….

I feel like I am slacking. Just some blue cheese bacon wrapped jalapeños on the grill for a snack.

Grilled a couple of bison burgers, fresh corn, tomatoes, onions from the garden to finish it all off. Great evening with a little lower humidity so we ate out on the deck this evening.

Damn John, you have been slacking terribly…..

To come back with cheese bacon wrapped jalapeños…..?!?!!?😉

You need to do 2 push ups, then 3 laps around your smoker….

Those look SO good!!! 😋

You never see a sirloin cut like that in supermarkets anymore. Thats, how I learned to cut them back when I started cutting meat in 1980. You get the filet mignon with it.

Stormy outside.

Ended up eating supper in the garage on centipede table.

Some big crawfish there! 😂
Have to be big so they don’t freeze in our upstate New York winters…..😉

The clams were what they refer to as Cherrystones up here. Usually use Little Necks, which are a small very sweet tender clam. I used them many years ago doing clam bakes commercially steamed, clams casinoand raw.

Cherrystones are similar but much larger. Typically used in chowder, stuffed, or clam sauce.

First time trying them steamed. Quite good and not as tough as I thought they might be. Don’t want to over-steam them. Would probably make a good grilled clam on the half shell also with some garlic and fresh parsley. 😋
