I installed a new tachometer cable on my L2501 ...at just 260 hours 😑

It's a straightforward install. Send me a message if you want details.

Day 2 of water service but day for the U-27. No machine pics today, too busy and late start digging due to waiting on UGI. Gave us the all clear over the weekend, but we knew that there was a gas line. Turns out that the gas line was vacated. I wasn't taking any chances.

Soil was wet with lots of boulders. Digging with the 12" bucket ended up being an 18" - 24" wide trench after pulling the rocks.

Anyway, customer now has plenty of water.

It is nice. Multiple adapters to fit various manufacturers and a plunger to hold the fluid in the funnel so any excess left when purging the system is captured. Here is the link to it on Amazon. EPAuto Spill Proof Radiator... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I40ZQWE?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Yep, easy way to purge system of air when refilling the cooling system after a flush or drain.

I use the funnel kit on everything that has a radiator. Like to pressure test occasionally too.

I don’t have a pressure tester. May grab one since I have a bunch of older equipment. So many tools I’d like to have and so little funds to buy them all

I have seen them, and they are not that expensive. I know that the commercial versions of that tool can get pricey. Check on Amazon they are about $21, but I have no idea of the quality. The ones sold on the tool trucks can leave you scratching your head why they cost as much as they do. It is like comparing a Harbor Freight wrench to a Snap-On wrench.

For what it does, I went with the Amazon $23.00 version. Sits on the shelf most of the time but when you need it it sure makes life easy and cleaner.

Now that I know there is a less expensive kit that works well, I will consider one for my toolbox. thanks

Installed a front hitch receiver from Fabworks on my B26. Beautiful chunk of metal, no sharp edges, perfect paint. Excellent workmanship.

However, it slots there in the front in the "U" of the brush guard and with tight clearance, a standard hitch pin is too long to go in it. Off to Amazon to find a shorter pin, I suppose.

Broke the U27 first day out of the barn....GRRRR
Smelled something "sweet" at the end of the day yesterday. Thought that maybe I was losing a bit of antifreeze. Didn't see anything while the sun was going down last evening so took a look at lunch today while the mini was sitting on the trailer...WTF?

Called a dealer about looking into a price for a landpride land plane/leveler. Expected to be like $800-$1000 for a 5 foot medium duty version. The light duty 4ft version meant for a bx/b was at least $1800 iirc. At that point I said appreciate you looking but not willing to spend that much. May have to create a facebook account again to check marketplace, think im gonna stick with used implements wherever possible if the price is better.

Split about a cord of firewood today. The splitter will go vertical, but my back prefers bending as few times as possible. The little B is a back saver! (-:

Very relieved to have found a coolant drip - took about 4 days before I was sure.
Found green snow under the tractor in the woods. Lower hose clamp had drips on it. Tightened both clamps and wiped everything off. Next morning it was worse. Hard to see but saw it running down the water pump gasket - oh no. Kept looking and found one small drop on the top hose, Tightened those and wiped. Next morning lower hose dripping again but it turned out to be fluid pooled up above I couldn't reach with a rag ran down. Yesterday all good - phew.

My RTV keeps doing that from the first week I brought it home. I have a couple rad hoses that leak as soon as it cools off after use. I've tightened them and it still keeps leaking. I'm going to have to take the hoses right off and clean everything I guess.

Did you have a chance to get this checked out?
The dealer is sending a service tech/truck Friday am. I'm hoping it's just a fitting somewhere in the innards. I really didn't want to be wrenching on it myself after day 1. I lost quite a bit of hydraulic oil as it's no longer visible in the sight glass. Fingers crossed.
