Hi. I have a 200mm 8bolt clutch on a 7ft slasher. The problem I have is after a while, usually when I replace clutch discs, some of the spring bolts will seize up and cannot be unscrewed. Need to be cut off.
Is this a common problem and what is the cause and any solution?

Thanks

Rust and corrosion can be a cause. The locknuts can also be a cause, especially the staked kind with the dents on the flats or the ones with the last threads rolled over.

Anti seize on the threads might be the solution. If those bolts get hot they make a high temperature anti seize with copper I have had good luck with

I don't necessarily put it on everything but it seems to end up there...

Yup!
The stuff does seem to have legs.
No matter where you apply it, there will be instant migration, to other places where you did not want it.
