Wish I could be so organized!

I wish I had more space. I keep everything inside if possible. I hope to have 25-30 years of use and want it all to last.

20 minutes until we have to leave for a commitment. Mother nature drops a tree across the entire driveway with no way around it.
Tree is hung up on a knoll so two undercuts with the saw and drop a 5-6 log out of the middle.
Grab the B , angle the plow and push log onto grass while keeping it from rolling onto the state highway.
Quick 3 point turn and push bottom of tree off drive into the leaf pile area. Done and done with time to spare. Will skid the logs up the driveway and push-em over the bank in the morning.
Yeah, I know, a grapple would have been nice. Use what ya got !!

Why you can still find them!

Two years ago I bought what was reported to be the last instrument cluster wiring harness in the USA for my 1989 Ford 1920.
It was not cheap!

Never have been sorry about that, as the 1,100 hour tractor is now repainted, and looks/runs like new.

Parts for my 1962 Chevrolet that were plentiful 3 years ago today are no longer available. I agree, but buy what you need or think that you will need now because today's crazy prices will be tomorrow's bargains, and many times they will no longer be available.

Decided to change out the blades on my rotary mower yesterday. Had a set of blades sitting around meaning to do that long before now....and since it was only a balmy 98° F yesterday afternoon, why not?

Found my 1-11/16" socket (who the hell engineered that nut size) and got my 3' long 3/4" drive breaker bar out. Raised the mower, got it supported on jack stands (safety first) and addressed the first nut. Wouldn't budge. Rotated the PTO shaft, around comes the second nut, same thing...not gonna move.

Found a short piece of pipe that would fit over the breaker bar alright but not long enough to give me much of an advantage. So figured I might as well get out the impact wrench. Ran the compressor for a bit...dragged out the hose and impact. I had my 'Mac' impact already out on the workbench since I use it remove the blades on my Scag Zero Turn. Its pretty powerful....but the nuts on the rotary mower just laughed at it.

After rat-a-tat-tatting on it for awhile and now sweating profusely, it was time to dig out the AirCat.

Probably should have expected to need it right from the start. It zipped the nuts off easily and allowed me to proceed with the blade replacement. I 'hand' tightened the nuts upon reassembly using just the breaker bar and some thread locker.

Put up my tools, went back in the house where it is cool and that was that. Next time the mower needs any service it will just have to wait for cooler weather.

Call it what you like, sub-compact, runt of the liter, toy tractor, this little 15 hp is a worker. Granted, I took three trips dragging up the hill but I erred on the side of caution. Rather take three trips with one log each than three logs and a flip over.

Perfect for that. One of the things I like my Compact Tractor (L2350DT) is that I can get it between trees and down trails in the woods on my property.

I forget the model # of my 1st Kubota, B8200?? maybe. It was only 17hp. That I remember because my riding lawnmower was 18hp but the Kubota had a backhoe and loader. Did a lot of work with that 'runt of the litter'

Interesting thought. You could take an 18HP (diesel) tractor and connect it back to back to an 18 HP gas machine and the diesel would drag the gas all the way around the section and almost not know it was dragging something!.

Did some driveway cleanup. Now that I have finished spreading all the 3/4 marble chips, 2" river run stone and mulch, it was time to push the remnants into the woods.

I also knocked down some small trees to enlarge the clearing there. Can't go too far in there, I think my property line is only 15-20' past the driveway.

It's time for a transfer tank at the farm so that I will not be lifting fuel jugs/cans. I tried various electric pumps both for the jug and the tank but I decided on this.

I leveled and set the tank yesterday.

So today I only had to install the pump and fill-er-up.

Another view. My drain-able filter will come in next week so I'll do a bit of re-plumbing.

I mounted it to a central air conditioner pad.

No, but it will be easy for me to keep it topped off because I always have 15 gallons of sawmill Diesel in the back of my truck. My saving is that these 79 year old arms will not be lifting the jugs.

I have a 12vdc pump with detachable hoses mounted to the sawmill, but that option would not have been viable at the farm. My Son and I have been kicking this back and forth for over a year before deciding that a 50 gallon tank and hand pump would be our best option.

I use the same style hand pump you show on your new tank. I bought it brand new at a yard sale and fortunately it pumps with each stroke to and fro! They are nice.

Also it's our 1 year anniversary! Took delivery of a shiny new B2601 exactly 1 year ago today. Currently at 140 hours and not so shiny anymore... Best money I've ever spent. (-:
