Are you going to stain and urethane the wood? Then you could call it a woodie. :)

Plan to prime it now and paint it orange when the weather warms up. Or, I’ll just spray it with bedliner coating.

Looking good so far. Regardless of the finish option you chose, throw some Kubota graphics on it so it'll look 'almost' factory!;)

Haven’t made much progress lately. Mostly glueing, adding wood filler, and sanding. Today, I added hasps to the rear panel and some door limiting straps. I believe the straps I used are the ones that come with furniture to anchor it to the wall. They can be easily unhooked from the eye bolts to allow the doors to be removed or for refueling access.
Bought some window mounting gasket material for the windshield and several cans of bedliner spray too. I figure the bedliner will hold up better than paint and I won’t be worried about scratching it when I remove the cab to store it.

Working on building a heater while I wait for warm, dry weather so I can get some painting done. I’m using 4” duct, a 6”-4” reducer, a radiator tank transmission cooler, a 6” fan, and a cap that will have holes cut out to attach defroster and floor heat hoses. If it’s a bust, I’ll fork over the money for a real heater.

Cut all of the windows today and started on making strips to retain the door windows. The front and rear windows will be held in with rubber window gaskets.

Got a few pieces set up in my makeshift paint booth and ready to spray with bedliner coating. I need to get the front panel bolted on to figure out the mounting and plumbing of my heater.

Very nice work on the cab. Didn't notice if you have anything to prevent the doors from whipping too far when it's windy. I made some simple straps out of old ratchet straps when I did my cab:

Thanks Chim. I did add some limiting straps on the doors.

I put the front panel on today so I can wrestle the windshield and gasket into place.

Looks great. Don't forget to add a windshield wiper. My factory came with only a front wiper, and I opted to not purchase the rear wiper. After one season of blowing snow, I bought all the parts to install it before this coming winter. If you need the information as to the type and where to buy it, let me know. It is the same as what Kubota sells but at a fraction of the cost.

Got the windshield in today. Fighting the window and gasket was a test of my patience but I eventually defeated it. Lol

Also got my front lights mounted above the windshield.

Made a couple brackets to mount the heater. I’ll use hose clamps to hold the heater in place. Going to run an outlet to a defroster tube along the base of the windshield and another outlet will be directed towards the floor.

Finished a bucket extension to help with snow removal. Used a piece of 12ga scrap.

Don't forget to block the screen under the steering wheel or you will just suck all the hot air out of the cab! You will also need to restrict air flow on the radiator itself. I use a piece of that plastic corrugated material inserted against the removable debris screen. The BX engine doesn't produce heat like a car engine does. To add to that your heater will reduce the amount of heat the engine creates as the heater draws the heat from the engine to the cab! I've never had the need for a defroster even with temps around 20 degrees.

On my old BX22 I cut the small bypass hose in half and hooked the heater up to that using 2 plastic hose adapters from the smaller hose to the larger heater hoses. I always got plenty of heat out of it and never had to block the radiator. On my BX23S I routed the hoses the way that Kubota instructed and my heater doesn't put out as much heat as the old machine. It is marginally acceptable.

Heater ducts are made. Used 1-1/4” PVC. Need to make brackets to hold them.

If you guys working on cabs need some weather stripping I might be able to help. I bought out a camper mfg's moldings when he went out of business. Here's a couple of not so good pictures. I have about six different styles. Pay for the postage and a little bit for the material, I got plenty!!

Doors and rear panel are painted. Hung the doors today and started putting on the seals and weatherstripping. The heater ductwork is anchored with zip ties and some simple blocks made from PVC molding.

Looks great! You do good work!

Is there a windshield wiper? I've read people like wipers on the front and back windows...no experience here but that seems reasonable.
