Im sure others will report back!
Only putting it in when fueling seems to defeat the purpose? On my BX23s the filler cap is in a "recess" that may hide debris. opening the cap seems to be the time when you want the filter in the most?

Even poor quality stainless should be just fine living in a diesel fuel tank.

I don't plan on leaving mine in for this exact concern, only going to put it in when I fuel up.
P
That pretty well defeats the purposee of having a fuel inlet screen. Foreign matter into your tank happens at the most unforseen times, not when you are standing there with the fueling nozzle in your tank.

I just bought one of these for my BX23S. Fits great. I put the little gasket on but I don’t think I need it. Will probably remove next time I go out to the garage. I think like $11 on Amazon. Does Zell sell more of these for the tractor market or tea drinker market.

I just got mine. I took one look at it and decided it was not going to fit.

Then I took it out to the tractor and it dropped in like it was made for it. :D

I did not use the gasket. I don't see any need for it. The cap screwed down normally.

Good to go! Glad I saw this thread!

This is the one I got. $13.99

Whoops. I meant to add a pictoor. Here it am.

I purchased this one for my 2680 and it did not fit due to tank neck having a flange, only about a 1/16" all the way around but enough to keep from fitting. That's how tight it was. Sure I could have forced it but that would only create more problems down the road. This is the no fit for 80 series..
It's not tapered at all which would be better for quicker fueling But was reason for not fitting. D62B69B7-B49C-4257-8F8E-F935E4F32C1B.jpeg 45CC7118-9672-4B8D-90E4-9B8EB53FA96B.jpeg

I purchased this one and got it right.. has a significant taper.. hopefully it doesn't slow fueling process too much.
This is a go and came from Amazon also.

I got another better pic of the flange I was talking about a few inches down.

Is 100 Microns plenty? Hell.....are our BX Fuel filters even 30 Microns?
Actually, they are 20 microns from Kubota. You have to watch the aftermarket filters as most are 30 microns or more.

The pores in my filters are measured in Angstroms. Microns are too coarse of a measurement unit.

When I think of Three's Company, Ritter is not the character that comes to mind!:devilish:
