The original HARD VINYL Kubota seat and it’s hard-rail mounting system was SO uncomfortable and with no lumbar support.

I bought one of these from Rural King when it was on sale for $150, then added a seat suspension system from them. Northern Tool also sells them: https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200326736_200326736

Here one is at ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/3940296148...9&customid=445503844-16-1646238767.1652969052

I HATE the HARD VINYL tractor seats so I ordered a “cordura’ covered seat. SO MUCH more comfortable. I also added a suspension onto the Kubota seat rails system I bought aftermarket. I’ll try to find a link.

Here’s a spring suspension system similar to what I’ve found very simple, much more comfortable than no suspension, adjustable to operator’s weight : https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200487876_200487876
I just put that exact same "spring suspension system" (TRAC brand) on my SCAG Liberty Z mower.
A major improvement to the seat ride!

Yep…it took me awhile to get that knob adjusted “just right” to give me true suspension vs my weight…but it sure takes the “jolt” out of bumps and ruts.

I have the grammar air ride in grand l4760 hstc with the fore/aft kit. The part number is MSG75G/531 for the seat. You need to order it form a kubota dealer to get it with the riser that is required under the seat. You lose the swivel feature and if you want to run the pto without being in operator seat you lose the flip up seat and switch to run it. You can put something about 3 lbs or more on seat and still run pto without being in the seat. Just be careful! The seat made a huge difference in my opinion. Not as much travel up and down as original but not near as jarring. If you have a hydrostatic transmission the fore/aft kit is great but if you have a clutch you probably won't like it. The fore/aft isolator kit gives movement forward and backward with a gas strut like movement. The seat comes in cloth if you have a cab and vinyl if you don't.
Have you tried applying the park brake before you get out of the seat with the pto engaged ? That is what I do and the pto/tractor continues to run after I get out.

No I have not. Thanks for the information I will try it. The original seat I had to flip the seat up and pull up on a lever under the seat to keep it on and that isn't on the new air ride seat.

My seat leans too far forward as well on my L2501. I've tried loosening the spring, but it bottoms out. I think I'll rebuild the seat bracket to make it a bit higher in front. I'm a lot larger than OP at 6'2" and 220, and it doesn't fit me either. Unclear who they made the seats for. Maybe really short people ... short people feel free to respond. ;)

The aftermarket seat I mentioned above has fore/aft, as well as ”tilt” and “recline” adjustments. The Armrests are also adjustable and stowable. (can you tell I’m happy with that seat?) ;)

If you can find one of these for a better price, snag it. https://www.surpluscenter.com/Brand...ic-Black-Seat-Black-Talon-440000BK-1-3208.axd

I got one of these a few years ago from RK (Rural King). They had them for the blowout price of $49 I think it was...maybe it was $99. Either way, It may have been an ad miss print but a bunch of us ordered them. They sold out quickly. In hind sight, I should've ordered 3 of them. Great seat.

Here's the seat...

sorry guys, I should've read the entire thread. I didn't realize that many of you had already mentioned the black talon seat.

OP- they are a good seat at almost any price.

For that black talon seat is the safety switch saved or just jumped out?

Does it rotate around for your BH77? I'd love to get one of these for my B3200/BH76 swivel seat!

Matt,
Yes, it does. The seat has a removeable top section (like a head rest in a car) that I forget to pull off when I'm hoeing in a hurry (and kneeling on the seat facing backwards).

There's also a handy storage flap in the seat back.

Some pics posted below for you that you may find helpful? Last pic is only to show that I turned the hazards sideways to make more room for spinning the seat. One of these days I'll remount them to outside of the ROPS (maybe).

Not sure who you were asking...

Here's my safety switch fix (on B2650). The switch stays mounted under the flip and pivot hardware and does not need to be touched (but as you can see, I did...ever so slightly) ;)

My B3200 doesn't have those springs. I wonder if that's just a model improvement? Have you looked at adding a mechanical suspension seat base to the seat?

Do you have to remove the head rest for clearance when using the backhoe?

Nope. I'm not adding anything to the seat as it sits up high enough as it is.

and No. you don't need to remove the upper backrest. I only do when I'm using the backhoe as not intended and its jabbing me in the ribs ;)

It looks to me that the black talon seat would fit your machine (by simply looking at the front hinge bracket).
