Typical for post-Thanksgiving.

Turkey noodle soup in the works yesterday, and making some scalloped potatoes and ham today.

Both are in the works; not done. Soup doesn’t have real wide egg noodles yet, and potatoes need a little more white sauce.

Skeets - - I had to look up Dutch Baby....looks so good.

Probably a repeat answer, recalled looking them up before and probably had the same response!

Never heard of them up here, and I was a breakfast cook.

I was assigned cranberry sauce to bring to a friend’s Thanksgiving feast, so I tried a new recipe, it is frozen and then thawed just for serving. Has raw cranberries, onion, sour cream, sugar, horseradish. Easy.

It is surprisingly tasty, fabulous on leftover turkey sandwiches.

Making Pork Posole. Mildly spicy, and can be adjusted hotter or milder to taste.

My wife saw Ina Garten from Food Network do it. She printed it off.

Sheepfarmer- you might like this when you get your kitchen back. Could likely use chicken breast or boneless thighs.

I’m also going to roast some Delicata Squash slices. The “soup” might be good poured over the roasted squash slices.

Fini- garnish with scallions, avocado, lime radish and shredded cheddar.

I think I’m just going to add the roasted Delicata to the top.

I think he may have meant gnocchi 🤷‍♂️
Yep, my guess too.

Maybe I posted this before.

Started work at a different restaurant.

Knew most of the kitchen folks working there.

Cook is giving me tour of the place.

He knew my background was heavily Italian.

In a walk-in freezer, he points out a couple cases….and says he thought the
ge-NOTCH-eez would have sold better…..😳

Told him with that pronunciation, I wouldn't have bought them, either......🙄(well, not a big fan of gnocchi anyway...)

I have NO issue with 99% of the population making that mistake. Understandable.

But, when you're a professional trying to sell something to someone for a premium buck, you damn-well better sound like you know what you're selling!

N-au-kee...repeat after me.... :giggle:
