This thing could cause much damage and hardship. Both Fordtech86 and I are in the direct path so hopefully it will have weakened before it reaches us.

I have the generators and gas ready because we certainly will loose power.

Over by Biloxi. Not a head on path for us but we are on the dirty side. Have gas, will warm up the generators tomorrow. Tractor will go in the garage to have it close if we need to use it to move stuff out of the way. Grapple on. Going to be an interesting couple days. Stay safe you two.

Was just reading on Weather.com that the forecast is for high Cat 4 when it hits, all the conditions are lining up for the 'perfect storm'. Sounds awful familiar to Katrina when it hit.

One of the justifications for me in buying what I did was to increase my capabilities. Our church has a huge outreach in our community. We have set up huge food tents in Mobile after the last season. We go into the community and clear downed trees and clear debris and provide support. Reflecting Christ is more than talk it requires action. Getting ready to do just that this week.

I‘m in Mobile, AL and we’ve got eyes on it too. Where it’s going to hit is just a guess now. When Sally came though in 2020 it hooked to the right a the last minute. Caught a lot of people off guard and unprepared in my area. Stay safe.

wishing the best for you guys. The company that I work for is out of Baton Rouge and we do a lot with the petroleum folks in Lake Charles. They've been hit really hard last year, I hope that they don't have a three-peat this year.

Both our home and our Cabin/Farm property are on high ground so no chance of flooding. We are 150 miles inland so tornadoes and wind felled trees are our threat. All that we can do now is wait........

We will be without power so the generators are ready. I hope that the power outages are not widespread but I know better. We are very rural.

It looks like the weather guessers have shifted Ida's projected track toward the West and actually over Eastern Louisiana. This will probably give us less wind but a massive amount of rainfall.

My farm property is where it is so I reckon I'll be staying put.

Sorry we're still picking up from the devastating Hurricane Henri Or Honree if you can stomach it.

Hopefully you don't have to deal with the 80MPH winds that Henri was alleged to have. Storm of the century we were told for the week leading up to the scattered showers we got.

From the present track, It appears Ida is for real. 11 foot storm surges across the La peninsula.

I'm not feeling like prayer will be all that is needed.
