Does anyone have any sources for actual measured "Storm surge" in the coastal region?

When Ida was just making land fall, the "weather" had projections of 7-11 Feet in some areas.

I'm curious how they got that number, and what the actual flood tide was.

As of mid afternoon all of my families power has been restored and all of our generators (4) are off. As has been mentioned, now I hafta eat everything that was cooked and set aside just in case we lost our cooking ability. Yup "Jim" food is good. ;)

All of our yards have been rid of limbs so I will be back to sawmilling tomorrow. Nothing to do with the hurricane, just normal sawing.

I will tackle this oversize monster tomorrow morning. Does that butt make my sawmill look small.....it should.

The remnants coming across SNE are calling for extreme flash flooding 6-8” of rain in a short amount of time. Makes Henri look like a spring sun shower!
