I have used Seafoam in gasoline for years with great success. I put 5 oz. in each 5 gallon can before they are filled.
I do the same thing with Power Service (white bottle) for my diesel fuel. It works well also.

50 years of auto and small engine repair and I've never used it in anything. If I need a digestive cleaner... AC Delco X66A is amazing. Follow up with Berkebile 2+2. Gassers get ATF or MMO in the last little bit then run dry before storage.

Diesel gunk, waxes, etc can be cut and cleaned with kerosene. Freeing up seized 2 stroke Detroit diesel injectors is done in a pan of kerosene on a warming tray. I run about 20% kerosene in winter. Soltron goes in all fuel before filling cans as per NIW recommendation. Injectors and pumps are way too expensive to risk damage with snake oils.... especially common rail ones.

I rub it into my knees, and a treatment last me at least 6 or 7 days. Sure beats the cost of a cortisone shot from the doctor. I used to use DMSO, but it doesn't work as well as Sea Foam.

In the older Stihl equipment, the ethanol would cause the gas lines to get hard and crack. The newer parts are OK with ethanol. If you don't treat, a varnish forms on surfaces in the small 2 cycle carbs. The diaphragm pump can get hard (not flexible) and fail. The jets can varnish (gum) up and restrict fuel flow.
The only Stihl piece of equipment I have trouble with is an MS180C chainsaw. It only has idle adjustment, no high or low speed jet adjustments. I replace the carb once every couple of years.

Try some WD-40. I heard it works wonders for knees that are rusted up! :D

Had a guy that worked for me used carb cleaner it has dsmo in it.

I found something for my arthritis that is safer and healthier than dsmo

Hot peppers have natural pain relieving properties. Taste good too.

When I had shingles, the salve that the doctor suggested I use also had hot peppers as one of the ingredients. Within seconds of applying the salve, I was headed into the shower to wash it off.

Zostrix is a topical cream designed to reduce nerve pain from shingles. It's derived from capsicum, the red peppers used to make chili powder and cayenne pepper.
After that, I never trusted that doctors advise again!

How in the hell did we get from Seafoam in diesel to DMSO? Though I did use DMSO on the horses with GLOVES,, I hate the taste of garlic.. If not Seafoam, what a good injector cleaner, I did get some crap fuel and I think a good injector cleaner is in order for the BX

If you think you have bad fuel in it then just drain it and add known good fuel then run it…just going off memory, but didn’t your series have the issue with the fuel sender rusting and flaking, plugging the tank outlet? You likely have other issues that just dumping something in the tank wont fix 🤷‍♂️

Yep the sender, sometimes that happens but thats not the issue,, no water in the fuel, lines and filters new, of but kind of sluggish. So I figured a good cleaning might help, but then the old gal does have a couple hundred hours on her. And maybe its not the injectors ,maybe she is just getting a little long in the tooth like me :)

Buy a bottle of Power Service (white bottle), and give it a healthy burp of Power Service whenever you fuel the tractor. Been using it for 17 years in my BX22, till I sold it. On my old Mercedes, I used to use Dexron to keep the injectors clean, but that was before Power Service came to the market place. Bought my first diesel car in 1966, when they sounded like rock grinders, and didn't like to start in cold weather.

I was going to ask why they call it Sea foam but I googled it and got the answer.

/*
The formula became quite popular among his fishing friends. He began selling it to local fishermen in beer bottles and quart jars, naming the formula “Sea Foam” after a friend in Florida called and asked for some of that “Sea Foam stuff.”

Earlier here I mentioned I'd only used Seafoam in a trimmer without success.

I may run some through the old 'Moline. 231 cu. in., 4 cylinder gas engine. About 30 hp.

It has some symptoms that I suspect could be from ethanol gas. Runs very well, but needs some choke to smooth out, so it's a fuel system issue, IMO.

Pretty sure Dad used e-gas for years, and wasn't careful with storage times for it. Not sure if he used any additives.

I only use e-free with Stabil.

While it may not fix anything, I figure it can't hurt anything, either....plus I have it on the shelf. 😉

Given it's 70 years old, a little gunshy of some fuel additives like STP, etc.

Marvel Schebler carb rebuild kits are readily available. Can also get new and reman carbs as well.

I would clean out the carburetor and know the condition. Moving filth around using solvents is not a real repair.
