I have needed to get the ground helper's attention several times and of course my old ~2005 M4900 had no horn. Had is now past tense. ;)
IMG_9519.JPG

The kit came today which included the horn, button, and all of the necessary wiring, etc.
IMG_9522.JPG

I put the horn button on the dash just above the emergency flasher button.

And the horn found a neat place to sorta hide. Can you hear me now?? ;)

Gave my Kub its 50 hour service this weekend and cleaned up the MMM and sharpened its blades while it was off. I don't know who put the filters on, but they were way tight. All in all it went smoothly. Amazing how much dirt and crud get under there even with the mower in place.

The driveway and woodlot trails have finally dried out, so I moved and unloaded 2 bucket loads of split wood on the stacks and then parked the M in the drive shed for the first time in over a month (y)

Made a mess with the KX033...

Then cleaned it up. Unfortunately, I forgot to snap an "after" pic. So, I'll just leave you with the "mess".

edit: lots of mess was already there form their first failed contractor when I rolled up. It was quite scary. Digging thru a proverbial minefield (gas lines).

Do you have a link to the place you purchased? I'd love one of those.
This is the one I got: LINK

I simply tapped into the 12vdc at the emergency flasher switch instead to running wire to the battery, etc. The horn adjustment screw needed tweaking to get the sound I wanted. I am well pleased.

I have an old L185 and replaced the wiring harness and wondered what a lot of the extra wires underneath the dash were for.
Looked at several wiring diagrams and found that some of the extra wiring was for a horn. So looked at Kubota.com and found a part number for the horn, switch and a label for the dash (indicator for what button is for). All parts still available but a bit pricey. Tractor had a mounting bracket for the horn so easily mounted.

This worked so well that I'm gonna order a kit for the sawmill. There are times when I need to get the helper's attention.

I went ahead and ordered one. I'll have it B4 April 21st. (y)

I have a buddy who is the Volunteer Fire Chief over on Toledo Bend and he gave me an old WW-II style Siren which had come off a wrecked 1940-1950’s fire-truck. It’s driven by a 12V starter-motor (looks like a Delco-Remy motor) but it’s a real Screamer! Heh-Heh-heh.... Probably Needs a starter-solenoid installed to power it... Maybe also need a Civil Defense permit.... LOL

I am clearing a spot for a tractor shed build and had one red pine that I though I was going to have to chain saw down due to its size. Today I figured I would give it a go with the grapple and L2501. I was happy to have been able to break it off and pull the stump roots and all with little fuss. I would say at the base where the horizontal roots start was approaching 11 inches in dia.

installed Fit-Rite Top-N-Tilt! I think I was more eager to get this kit than the entire tractor. Just in time to spread 10-tons of stone tomorrow too.

That will really add to the functionality of your box blade! On my wish list for the future. How are you controlling the cylinders? Rear remotes?

I’m eager to use it with the BB and rake. It has double rear valve set for T&T. I routed the hoses for the rake angle to the 3rd function since the rears won’t be available anymore.
