You don’t know me.....You only think you do.
Actually he knows you well.

DPF had NOTHING to do with the blue skies in CA. Nice strawman.

The current scheme is CREATING MORE pollution than stopping and burning millions MORE gallons of fuel as well as other new chemicals.

Sorry for the interuption preacher, continue on as you were. And can the congregation get a ride in your private plane after the service?

Specious? Have you considered the huge INcrease in numbers of vehicles and population since the late ‘70’s... And YET...the air is cleaner?... the water is cleaner... Less mercury in your diet...?

If the EPA were abolished... what do you think would occur? EPA was signed into law by Richard Nixon but the man who’s been in office less than 2 months is to blame for emissions enforcement according to some.
What!?

Read my previous post.

I said nothing of the sort.

That's why I stick to old equipment. I have one tractor made in 1959 and a Kubota made in 1987. My newest car is made in 1993. The greenies are going to kill us all.
Wow - you give up a lot of great functionality and safety upgrades on the car side with that approach. Not all new tech works as intended, but the majority of it is great. To each their own I guess.

Lugbolt, that’s an informative way to throw oil on the whitecaps.... but it remains that Kubota produced a troublesome model and is paying the price in injured reputation over it. It’s easy to just blame the gub’mint ... but every mfr’r had the same reg to meet.
Gub'mint...Thats funny. Tears in my eyes. thanks

Might be great when it's new but all those gadgets will make your life miserable when it starts getting old and they start breaking down.

I buy the latest and greatest, drive them hard for 10 years and then buy again. Not a single unscheduled maintenance for my wife, myself or two kids in 30+ years. YMMV.

You've been lucky, my son bought a 2017 Hyundai in 2018 and the engine is going out already. They put to much electronics on today's vehicles. A sensor goes down somewhere and nobody can find it or fix it. You end up taking the car to garage after garage with the mechanics replacing the wrong parts guessing what the problem is until one of them accidentally replaces the defective part.

I am sure a little luck, but more about disciplined in what vehicles I buy. I have a running "bet" with my (now teenage) son that during the heat of August or the cold of January, if we see a Toyota or Honda on the side of the ride for a reason other than a flat I will buy him ice cream -- haven't had to pay off yet. Thank god I didn't say that about Chrysler or I would be broke and he would weigh 500lbs. Bought my daughter a Honda for a college graduation gift 15 years ago - still running without a hitch, her then-boyfriend has insisted on buying two Jeeps during this time and spends more time at the shop than on the road. Now that they are married my daughter has made it clear that his next purchase will be a Toyota or a Honda. YMMV.

I had a dodge truck onetime around 1988. It only lasted for 70,000 miles. It was the last new vehicle I've bought. I had a Toyota Celica in 1975 I liked a lot but sold it when it jumped time. It was only two or three years old then. At the time I was doing no repairs myself to an engine internally. Looking back I could have fixed it in a couple hours if I only new. Wish I still had it.

I always say. Technology is great, but only when it works.

A $9 battery prevented my wife’s car from starting.

same here. Car is a 93. Truck is a 2003--and wouldn't you know it, I have to put about $3,000 into the truck (Diesel). The car? LOL....many different colored body panels, engine is rough running, it burns as much oil as gasoline, not very comfortable, not cool, everyone hates it...but it's paid off, and when/if someone pulls out in front of me and I t-bone them, I'm not messed up about it one bit. I could care less what it looks like as long as it's transportation. The truck is decently nice but again it wants too much money. I thought about replacing it but can't find another one, and it's cheaper to just fix the little stuff and go on with it until somethign else breaks. And it will.

100% agreed. As a manufacturer, you decide the markets you want to be in and the redtape that comes with it.
Has anybody seen any discussion on a class action suit against Kabota about these tractors? If so, could you please link me to that site very interested I have two of the B 3350s nothing but problems thanks Pat from Buffalo New York United States.

There is none.

That said, Kubota has quietly warranted the reformer (source of many/most emissions problems) for the life of the machine regardless of ownership.
