What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

You need to take a drilling hammer and a gas axe to that PTO shield. It looks like hell...

Yup, I should have dropped it down to the lower position but it was no problem to straighten. When using the 'bota for subsoiling, I also need to use the upper top link position. The hookup is much different now with the PAT's rather than the Speeco Quick Hitch.

Used the BX today to remove about 6" of topsoil that the contractor piled up against the siding at the rear of my shop, 25 years ago.....
Dumped it out on the side of the newly paved drive I had put in a month ago to bring it up to pavement grade. I wanted to have it paved long ago, but I knew that the trucks I owned and parked there on occasion would probably tear it up.

After the dirt work, I changed the oil and filter, checked trans oil level, checked the air filter and gave it a good grease job. Going to give it a bath tomorrow.

I not so fondly remember way back when I had a smaller tractor with a deck attached and that deck was always a nuisance when doing anything with the loader. Why I have a dedicated lawnmower (zero turn) and tractors without belly mowers.

I have neither. I find the telescopic end links to be 'adjustment enough' to hitch up any implement I need to hitch. Besides, the 'Pats' thing would get in the way when I swing my drawbar mounted hay tools. I need all the swing room I can get.

Nothing is a fit all for everyone and their individual needs. I am having to modify a few implement and their attachments to accommodate this new "hoss on da farm".

Thankfully I am and will always be "hay free".

Drilled another 50 holes. I'm over 1000 holes with this setup now. I am glad I didn't listen to all the nay-sayers when I went to build it. It is way more useful and productive than my 3pt. PTO auger.

To each his own, but the mower deck has never been a problem for me. Even when I use it to push snow, it adds some weight for better traction, and even though it is wider than the FEL bucket, it isn't a hinderance.
Since I adjusted all the linkage to get the maximum travel, clear up to the stops, it gives me over 6" of ground clearance.
So what if a little snow gets on it?

Moved a few empty pallets around and a set of pin on forks with the bucket. I bought a SSQA plate but need to do a bit of carving on the pallet forks before I can get the plate welded on. Priced a few implements but will probably wait until spring before buying anything else.

Worked 4 hours trying to get the HST pedal ( is this the piece yuns call the banana pedal??) off of the G5200. Finally got it off by turning a piece to .595, drilling & tapping it to 3/8-16 an pinning in the end of the tube on the pedal. Screwed a 3/8 Allan bolt in it and used it to push against to shaft holding the pedal. The pedal slid off the shaft, now I can remove the rear fiberglass seat/fender/footboard section. I guess if limited ground clearance blows your dress up, all well and good. Snow is not an issue (I guess) but dirt and rocks would be. Of course the top of your rear tires is probably the lowest part on my tractors.

Last Kubota I owned that had a belly mount deck (years ago), I still not so fondly remember removing the deck and putting it in the garage and never using it. I think it was a 72" one. Like a mounted backhoe. Garage queen.

Did my fall oil change today. I had put on 37 hours since Nov of last year. Also my daughter had got me filters for fathers day back in May. Oil filter and fuel filter and O rings . I know when I looked in May it was the wrong oil filter but had my girlfriend pick me up one last week that was the right one. I'll post a photo of the filter if anyone knows what tractor uses it your welcome to it.

Relocated battery to the back of the G5200. It used to reside in front of the steering wheel and was also located Dixon front of the radiator. A concern for overhead. Decided to eliminate a future prolem!!

Did more clearing at the farm. Here is a before picture.

This is what it looks like after several different days of work.

We had lots of debris, fence line, and brush/trees that had to be cleared out. We still have a few pieces of debris to get rid of.
