Did an early mow today on the 1700. Things are slowing down so maybe one more mow. Next weekend it’s the 3200’s turn and 6 acres of brush to knock down for the winter

Replaced the two fuel filters on the BX23S. The one under the tractor is a PIA!

We removed more old fence line, took down a dead tree, and cleaned up some brush.

Plus, started throwing some scrap on the trailer. Will gather a load together and then get it arranged and secured. We ended up calling it a day when the rain moved in.

My helper and I split and hauled a few loads of firewood this morning.

I pulled the starter from the 'ol B7100 today. It's been a long time coming and finally wouldn't spin fast enough anymore. While my apprentise was primed and ready for action we moved to the Gator to check the glow plugs. She isn't as familiar with that machine but is highly interested.

We spent a couple of days at the farm doing prep work on the deer food plots. I have always done my subsoiling with the old 2WD John Deere but her battery had failed so I hooked up to the Kubota. I dropped the shoe down kinda hard and sheared the shear bolt so I grabbed the only 7/16th thing that I could find and started subsoiling. With the JD, when the wheels started spinning I raised the lift arms and continued on. Well the 'bota wheels started spinning and I shifted into 4WD.
::)

So now without a proper shear bolt, something had to give and it was the top link.
:o

Kinda looks like a bent top link to me??
;D

So I grabbed the JD top link, shifted into 2WD and finished my subsoiling.

The welding supply did not have pipe that the cut off ends would fit into, so I used square tubing to put the top link back into service.

Question, are all these "please visit" supposed to be pictures?

Rebuilt tilting-hood mounting points on Kubota G5200. Drilled out chassis metric hole and tapped to 1/2-13 and did same to welded-on nuts on hood mount. Screwed 1/2-13 Allan-bolt through chassis and nut on both sides. Hood now tilts on its own threads. It’s not bouncing around on wallered-out mounting bolts. Simple stuff compared to y’all, but it makes it mo-betta!! Semper-fi & This We’ll Defend, Mike

You need to take a drilling hammer and a gas axe to that PTO shield. It looks like hell...

Lets see, yesterday I got both M's ready for winter. Washed them, greased them and added Powerservice winter additive and Bio-Kleen to the fuel tanks and topped them off. Open station gets to sleep all winter. Cab tractor gets snow removal duty.

Oil gets changed in the spring before cutting hay.

In preparation of building them a new deck,I dug out the flowers growing against my folks slowly collapsing brick/stone patio and temporarily nested them in a trench behind their garage.
Wife and I then hand dug 3 holes for piers before the rains came.
We were ready for lunch and a nap anyway:D
