Folks like that amaze me. He'll never have a blow out, seized bearing, or any other calamity.
Nor will he be in an accident...might cause a few though!

Looks like he has all his worldly possessions in that trailer.....

I always thought 'back roads' in Maine were gravel logging roads?

We call logging roads Tote Roads and they are all gravel, lots of small wooden bridges . Miles and miles of them.

I think I saw that truck here the other day.....oh wait, we have 100’s just like it in my neck of the woods too.....🥺

The number of vehicles I’ve heard lately with obvious wheel bearing or sway bar/ link problems....wonder something doesn’t just fall off....🥺

You would be amazed what people will drive. Just last week I had two with brakes grinding. One brought it in for a brake job (menu priced for pads and resurfacing rotors), I go to pull it in and can hear them grinding. Give the estimate to replace the rotors too, guy says no just put it back together. Other guy brought his in for something else, again pull it in and hear brakes grinding. Give the estimate, guys says yeah I know they are grinding.

A while back had one brought in for a noise. Raise it up and the front strut is almost L shaped, pushed into the body, control arm bent, tire rubbing the inner fender, gave the estimate, they brought it back about 6 months later (10,000 more miles on it) to get it fixed because they couldn’t keep tires on it (imagine that).

Yeah Ford, the other thing is what sounds like brakes dragging....
I understand that some folks being out of work has caused some serious financial issues back home, but some of these folks have never had a job to lose......

That looks like maybe a 1993 ?? with the dual tanks. Wow, that's a crazy photo.
I just traded Saturday. Went shopping for the same thing I had but new. Super crew four door XL(being a poor basted I always get an XL) and my last two pickups were super crews, I found one in New Hampshire just over an hour away. Got there and looked around , the super crew XL and the super cab XLT were the same price. $42,000. The XLT window sticker was $50,000. and change. Then I had a customer loyalty cash coupon from Ford for $3000. knocking it down to $39,000. Then my trade was $19,000.
So I drove off with my first XLT super cab. I've bought several super cabs over the years again all XL, then switched to the super crew. So I hope I don't miss the bigger cab.
Truck goes like a bullet. 5.0 V8, 395 HP...yes that's 395 HP. My 2015 was 385 HP so Ford has squeezed another ten ponies out of the 5.0
Today mother said what about a LineX liner for your birthday ? Sounds good to me. She made the appointment and dropped it off this morning. My first spray in liner also.

Sweet, cant believe how much they get for them now. Ive been thinking about trading in too but like 85K to get comparable to what I have now. I can do a lot of maintenance for that kind of payment.
Couple trucks ago I had an xl with crank windows..lol then i went to a lariat, it will be very hard to go backwards after that. Congrats on your new purchase.

Good looking truck. Is that the Blue Jean color?

I've been partial to F150s myself for the last 40 years. Last GM truck was a '70 (I think) with one of those 350 diesel engines. Good fuel mileage, but the first two yeas I had it, it was in the shop for over six months. Complete POS.

My current truck is a 2006 F150 XLT that I bought new. It's something you never see on a sales lot today, standard cab, long bed, 2 wheel drive. If I want to haul more than one person somewhere, I take my old '04 Town Car. I recently had had all the rust fixed and completely repainted. The 4.6L V8 runs like a clock, and only uses a quart of oil between changes at 6,000 miles. Should go another 220,000 miles.

Don't believe it's LineX, but when new my '17 Silverado was on the lot with a factory(?) spray-on bedliner.

Like you, first liner I've had like that and REALLY like it!

To me, It looks that that homemade trailer he's dragging has the axle set too far to the rear.

Old FODE getting it done though.
