My final comment to you all is this... Do whatever you want to, I don't really care. I'll do what I feel is best for me but again, if you get it don't whine because I cannot hear you.
what is definition of "executive order"? I've not looked it up yet.. but isn't that essentially a short cut way of making "a law" by those with such constitutional power; who were constitutionally voted into their position ?Its not a law its and "Executive Order" made unilaterally
These stay at home orders are not laws, they are orders drafted by the Governor only, no legislative involvement. At least in my state. Sure the gov has legal authority to make these orders but considering that this is an unprecedented event and the orders are destroying entire local economies and the "threat" in my state is minimal if you look at numbers, yeah we are in defiance of the orders. And NO Janet Mills was NOT democratically elected, Maine had just started using the controversial system of ranked choice voting.what is definition of "executive order"? agree with concept of petition/protest, so yeah go for it... openly defy a law on a rarity.... honestly might can see that too ... but that really needs to be a high rarity tool of protest . Issue is right now... it is getting way over used. When overused that in itself is as slippery a slope to a bad form of government "Mob rule" as is some of the decisions of recent that are slippery slope to socialism.
some folk really need to step back some and think of the country as a whole.... and protest etc as is actually written in the US constitution.
I hear you but our politicians are shady. Our Governor held secret meetings about the pandemic violating law. Real law. Law voted on by my representatives.Actually the tenth amendment gives broad constitutional powers to states to institute and enforce quarantines in the interests of public health. So some of those freedoms were long since gone. Most state statutes are old. Interpretations of the details are therefore debatable. There are protections against unreasonable or capricious application of the state statutes to individuals. They are expected to be temporary. Here are some links.

Oh it's going somewhere... and quickly!this is going no where.
Not surprised one bit. If they actually follow through with this there will be bloodshed. Although California has been training its subjects to comply for quite some time so maybe not.In Calif. if there is only one bathroom in a home with more then one person living there, and one person has Covid-19 the state will remove the person.

If these are to be believed, it would say something about high density housing. In NY State Cuomo said on April 13th " “If you isolate, if you take the precautions, your family won’t get infected.” But looks like the stay at home order he unilaterally ORDERED hasnt exactly worked out.
Heres the article: https://www.cnbc.com/2020/05/06/ny-...hospitalizations-are-people-staying-home.html
But we are just supposed to listen to these dictators right? Trust what they say, do as we are told.
Makes sense, if you can smell your neighbors cooking youre living too close. Maybe people who live in close quarters and are able bodied should be ordered out of home and to work where it may be less crowded? If these are to be believed, it would say something about high density housing.

Separating family makes sense to protect the ones not exposed at that time, but when the government says "We will be moving..." indicates we as humans are too stupid to take care of ourselves with what we have.Providing separate housing for a covid positive adult is a kindness. Healthcare workers have been begging for trailers or staying in hotels at their own expense to avoid giving it to their families. Parents often sacrifice themselves for their kids, but not everyone in the house should be exposed. A parent could move out with a kid, and leave the other kids with the other parent.
Exactly what my wife's friend is doing. She's a supervisor in the Covid section at Pro-Medica, Toledo and she's staying in local supplied (by the hospital) housing in Toledo instead of coming home at all and possibly infecting her husband. Kudo's to her, someone with some sense.Providing separate housing for a covid positive adult is a kindness.
