No idea, but I only use milk and buttermilk to cook with, so i only need one of the little two cup jugs at a time.Wonder if you can get 'Powdered Buttermilk'?
I've never had pancakes made with buttermilk (I lead a sheltered life) does it make that much difference in taste? Actually I delivered milk for close to 13 years when I was younger and never drank milk unless I was a little under the weather from the night before then a pint of chocolate milk and a nice big greasy cheeseburger always brought me back around.Woohoo, found some TP for the son and daughter in law Local grocery store of all places. Bet they will start buying cases from Sam's club when things settle down.
What shocked me was I got the last jug of butter milk. Had to get a worker to go into the cooler and shove it to me since you couldn't reach it from the front. You wouldn't think there would be much of a demand for Butter Milk.
I would have been out of luck if they didnt have it Had my niece and her family coming over for breakfast in half an hour. Can't make buttermilk pancakes without the butter milk.

Macho Wipe!Don't be concerned about the TP shortage. I just left Home Depot and they have plenty of sandpaper!!

FTP.Wife has a birthday coming up- maybe I'll get her one of these:

I honestly couldn't answer your question. Grams taught me that recipe when I was 6 years old. Always made homemade pancakes that way. I will say that everyone in the family raves about them. And my grandkids refuse to eat pancakes at home if it's not "Poppa's" recipe [emoji14]
If your cooking sausage or bacon to go with them then hold off mixing the pancake batter till your ready to cook the pancakes. This way they come out light and fluffy. Letting the batter sit to long before using will cause the baking powder to fizzle out.

Something like that recipe makes darn good waffles too. I never knew what to do with the rest of the jug of buttermilk. Haven't made it in years.1 cup flower, 1 cup buttermilk, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon baking powder. Give them a try

Thanks sheep, wife gets almond milk all the time so I let her read your reply and she knew what you were talking about.Something like that recipe makes darn good waffles too. I never knew what to do with the rest of the jug of buttermilk. Haven't made it in years.
If you need to stock up on milk, there is something I call shelf stable milk. Same as regular, pasteurized at a higher temp, comes in waxed cartons. Keeps for about 6 months at room temp. Find in the store either with the almond milk stuff or with the condensed milk, or sometimes with the little juice boxes for kids. Either in little boxes or quarts.
I never knew what to do with the extra butter milk either. So I usually hit one of the bigger grocery stores in town. This way I can buy the smallest jug which is around 3 cups, instead of the half gallon jug which I was stuck getting today.Something like that recipe makes darn good waffles too. Also easy on the stirring/mixing as it changes the batter .1 cup flower, 1 cup buttermilk, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon baking powder. Give them a try

Come on now, I just had supper and you folks are making me hungry again. Also easy on the stirring/mixing as it changes the batter .
You left out 4 key ingredients at my house for pancakes perfecto. Homemade vanilla flavoring, cinnamon, chopped pecans , & a tad of that bacon grease your frying up. Top those off with " real cow sav butter " & warm maple syrup. Ummmmmm
We use Bacardi Dark Rum to make our vanilla
