So I've got a grasshopper 321d mower with a kubota d722e motor. It has been running fine but has 1623 hours on it. It has always been serviced on time with kubota filters. So last week it decided not to start. It turns over but seems to be a little slower than normal. I can use the boost on the battery charger and it spins over faster but still will not start. Regardless of how fast it turns though, it pours black smoke from the exhaust when I try to start it. I have changed fuel filters and have plenty of fuel from the injection pump. Could one of my injectors be stuck open and dumping too much fuel? Any thoughts?
Sidenote: Probably unrelated but I did replace the starter this summer and used a cheap one. After it gets hot, the starter wouldn't start it. I had to wait until it cooled off and it would start right up.
