I'm just pleasantly surprised that we've not been hit out here in the traditional snow belt. Typically Edinboro & Waterford are on the buckle of the snow belt.
Agreed. Weird that its pretty much staying north of 90. Not seeing much in Waterford?

Same here where I live in the heart of snow belt in NE Ohio. Everything has stayed north of 90, and I am 3 miles south. Looks like that is going to change today and we are going to get the majority. 3 or 4 days ago we got 3" and the owner of my Kubota dealership in Conneaut, couple miles north of 90 got 33". He got to have all of the fun!

Some nice rigs you guys have.

I use a B8200D on turf tires and a 60" King Kutter box blade. It works pretty good dragging it out to the road and back pushing it into the ditch. Two snowfalls this year, only a couple inches at a time yet.

Like some of you guys, we've been out of the Lake Effect so far. Winds have more to the west than north - that's to our advantage.

Probably not more than 4" here - I'm okay with that!

We just got a few inches but the wind blew about 50 mph from the north. My driveway was fine but I had to go over to feed the neighbor's animals and I could not get up his drive with my 4wd F150. Went and got the tractor and still had a time going uphill. His drive drifts big time. I broke through and busted the drifts going downhill, gravity can be friend or foe.

I use my back blade and push the snow in reverse, the blade just seems to float over the snow and gravel nicely on its own. I thought about putting a piece of pvc pipe or something on the bottom of the blade but with backing up (with the blade facing the normal forward position) works so well I dont even think I need to do that. If there isnt enough snow though the blade isnt happy, so I usually dont do it until I have a nice packed down layer of snow on the gravel and the gravel is fully frozen.

The downside is a sore neck sometimes, but its cheaper then the alternative for now. Heated cab helps too ;).

I have a front snow blade and a rear blade. I lift the front blade an inch or two off the ground and I reverse the back blade, it swivels 180 degrees, so that it does not cut into the driveway. Basically when reversed it is like dragging a smooth surface and takes the snow without damaging the gravel. I angle both blades the same direction and have the ability to offset the back blade. When the ground freezes hard I will put the feet back on my front plow and that should give more control when plowing.

I agree... just skim.. but I had a neighbors gravel driveway I did to help. I found a bit pf prep prior to frozen ground and yes... snow. I would go across the fields with my front blade and grade the driveway smooth. Man... that really helped when the snow did come... enough so that I would grade between snows.... made my life so much easier...
