I used to have a picture I took of a Komatsu PC400 buried like that. Only difference was about 1ft of cab exposed. The whole unit ended up slap full of sand. Including the engine compartment.Waiting for the spring thaw.
Yup. My usual answer to someone like that. "Then why have you been doing it wrong for 20 years??!!!""I've been doing this for 20 years!!!! I know what I'm doing!!!!!".

They now have issues getting guys to drive their tandem-axle dump trucks that know how to drive a manual transmission...
Guys will have the proper class driver's license, but they can't handle a "stick."
Its getting to be with the newer cars you dont even have to know how to drive it. The focus ST and RS, and the last 2019 bullit mustang I’ve driven have all taken care of the throttle to take off. I learned how to drive in a standard 1 ton dump truck. Then up till 10 years ago, my work trucks have been standard transmissions. I still prefer a manual transmission when hauling something heavy. This way I can lock it in gear on a hill. The automatic transmission in my service truck is a little hinky when downshifting for a grade and will occasionally catch me by surprise and doesn't work always as expected. Nothing like kissing a steering wheel on a mild grade when it down shifted and dropped two gears, then not downshift on a heavy grade

We bought an 2011 jeep wrangler unlimited with 6 speed manual transmission. I've got about a million miles with manual transmissions.
