Got mauled by the vicious Pit Bull tonight She loves her grandpa

Wifes one daughter was here yesterday, her pit/lab mix passed away in her sleep,, Red Dog was I think 16, and the darnest sweetest dog around kids, they could do just about anything to her and she put up with it,, and loved kids to pieces. If you didnt know her anyone with a drop of common sense kept their distance, she was a sweety

What our black kitten did to our blue parakeet, that would tease it by dive bombing the cat within a few feet or so (bird got snatched out of mid air for the last time)...
The same cat will sleep in our bathroom sink...

Roommates had a pit years ago. Neighbors two year old used to sneak out of the house to come get puppy kisses She was a sweety as well. Would let any kid issue her commands and follow them I had to let her "Maul" me every night in order for her to leave me alone. So, when I got home from work, she would patiently wait till I changed my clothes and sat down on the couch with my feet up. As soon as I said ok, she was on me for 15 minutes worth of dog slobber, plenty of back scratches and tummy scratches for her. As well as plenty of puppy kisses, and slobber for me

Now she would get jealous if a gal sat next to me on the couch. She would have to get up on the couch. Plop her bottom in the girls lap. Then lay down with the rest of her body in my lap. Then look up at me with the saddest most pathetic look on her face If I was in one of the recliners, then she would force her way up into my lap on the recliner and have a pretty smug look on her face

That’s awesome

My kids have strict instructions to always be waiting at the top of the stairs when Daddy Dog gets home...

And they always are.

I’ve got security cameras in the house and they will walk around the house occasionally but for the most part they wait at the top of the stairs until either my wife or I come home.

Our little one has a bed full of toys (normally) and she decided to tunnel into the toys and take a nap. We put four of them back in to help her re-enact the closet scene from ET.

We have corgis(3) and labs(3) sour house is entertaining. My wife sits on the couch and instantly has company.

In our infinite wisdom we got a giant malamute pup. At 4 months he was 45 lbs at 7 months he was 85 lbs. Now at 10 months he's over 100 lbs. He's a gentle giant. Thinks he's a corgi though. I love my corgis but this huge wookie has stolen my grumpy old heart. He's sure great with the grandkids too. Vet says he'll top out around 150 lbs.

They grow up fast. Did you take comparison pics when they were pups?

We did for our shepherd once a week on the same furniture to keep it consistent. It was truly amazing the amount of growth each week. Especially from 3 lbs at 5 weeks old, up to 80lbs at 10 months old. She settled in at 78 lbs.
