Don't beat yourself up over this sheepfarmer which I know is easier said than done. With luck she'll be just fine. Just yesterday we had to go out for a short run into town and not thinking we left the spare bedroom door open where we had extra supplies for our trip to the hunting camp today. Well the 2 beagles had a feed, polished off a big bag of rolls and a loaf of bread, could have been much worst. We make mistakes and we can't be everywhere all the time, prayers for you and your little girl.

Sheepfarmer, you've done all you can do...so you have to get your mind on something else. Think about your soffitt and fascia, or winter!

My wife opens her laptop and gets a Youtube video of "birds for cats" or some such thing. Keeps Lilly busy forever. Sometimes she lays right on the keyboard, so wife puts a cover over it to keep from changing things.

Itsy bitsy cat is home! On anti ulcer med for 2 weeks. She spent about an hour washing herself all over to get all signs of the clinic experience off, and is pretty much back to normal. When her mom abandoned her at 2 days old in my barn and I brought her into the house, I thought of naming her Trouble, as in here comes trouble, but I didn't want to jinx her . She is the smartest, most opinionated, determined cat I have ever met.
