Baby daughter's baby Akita, taken about a month ago.

Same puppy, taken a couple of days ago. His Dad runs about 120 pounds, I'd say he's headed there himself.

His cousin Fate, the original Akita I posted about a while back. She's filling out nicely too.

Both of them will be down to stay with Grampy for a few hours this weekend while daughter goes to The Big City. They tend to get bored in the house and do things they shouldn't if left alone too long at a time.

The pups had a high old time at Grampy's farm today! Daughter was thrilled when I took them home.

Good news is, they both crashed and are snoring away instead of tearing around the house like usual.

Here's my son's latest edition. Diesel, he's a German boxer.

Nor sure what it is about pup and beards, but he's enjoying himself :D

Ollie the Boxer resting up in front of the pellet stove. High of 12 today.
He’s obviously getting ready to watch the Syracuse Orange play basketball at 7!

Apparently our Gypsy girl doesn't like me snoring :rolleyes: She used to be pretty sweet when I would snore. She would get up in my face and give me a kiss. Then snuggle up. Well, last night she must have gotten tired of it.

Wife managed to get me to roll on my side but it didn't settle down my snoring like usual. Gypsy then squeezed herself between us with her back to my wife. Paws drawn up tight. Then let's out a big groan sounding frustrated, and shoves with all four paws. I come too falling out of bed. Wife asking if I'm ok and trying really hard not to laugh. Took her 5 minutes to stop laughing enough to tell me what happened :D

We used to be out every chance we got no matter what the weather but the three of us are retired now and pretty much just stick to fishing and walks.

I love them but there sure would be a lot more room in bed without them.
I know the feeling :D One Shepherd takes up the center 2/3's of the bed :D Dog sat her brother a couple weekends ago. Alarm went off the next morning and I couldn't move

The shepherds had me sandwiched with them on top of the covers and there backs tucked up tight to me on each side. Made an effective trap for me to try and get out of

Our dogs have never been allowed on the second floor, where the bedrooms are. Good thing....

SPCA dog, we guess our first dog "Ernie" was a Labrador/Great Dane mix. Looked like a long-legged Lab, shed like a maniac all year, and weighed 147 pounds in his prime....had him 12 years. Such a great, gentle guy.

Hell, I would've had to sleep downstairs on Ernie's bed by the wood stove....but might've had less kids that way!!!:p:p:p

At least you only have 2 beagles to contend with. :p

Normally every night we have 2 wolves, a husky, and a miniature poodle in bed when you fall asleep, then wake up to 3 wolves, 2 huskies, a red heeler, a miniature poodle, and absolutely no room to move!.
Thank goodness the 2 Malamutes normally don't like the bed unless no one in it. ;)

And just a note: I wouldn't have it any other way!
There ain't no bad guys getting to me when I'm sleeping! :D

Thanks for the laugh guys and yes some nights it's like getting in and out of a small sleeping bag when I have to get up through the night. I'm not sure how you guys do it with those size dogs and that many but like you said I can't imagine it any other way.

I would have been up a creek the morning the shepherds had me if I had a potty emergency

They had me wrapped up like a Canoli'. I was nice and toasty warm though :D
