They had said a slight dusting. Wasn't gonna hit the ground  was supposed to last an hour. 6" so far and no sign of slowing. Thinking someone was hitting the sauce when they did there predictions :D. Course it's 24 degrees out now and sleet rain combo.

Don't especially like this one... could be one of those years where we leap from winter into summer, skipping spring.
I could live with that if they also skipped springing into DST.

Most folks don't realize DST doesn't mean "Daylight Savings Time", as some have tried to sell. (I mean, think about it: "Daylight Savings Time"? Please explain where the saving is!) What the acronym was when Ben thought up the idea was "Daylight Stupid Time". Much more appropriate, but if folks thought about that, we'd prolly see an end to DST right quick.

Sorry to hijack the thread! [Note to self: you need to be more diligent taking your meds!]

Looks like another storm heading to the North East today. I know I've had enough of winter, how about everyone else? I read in the paper the other day that the cold weather has delayed the maple syrup season. Took a ride through the mountains yesterday and I didn't see any sugar shacks smoking yet. I did see a few guys setting up tanks and digging out the sugar shacks. I can't wait for some fresh syrup!

Tomcat,

My wife did a remote in lovely "Osan By The Sea." They had TONS of snow the year she was there. Any of that ever make it as far south as Thailand? Or are your winter temps 50-ish at the lowest?

I went to get the paper and mine is all FREEEKIN ICE  everything that was melting yesterday has frozen last night and the 400 feet is nothing but glare ice, I slid almost all the way to the road,, would have been fun if I was prepared for it. As it was I was just trying not to do a split,,, that would hurt

In '08 I slipped on the ice, fell backwards and caught myself with my right arm and tore the rotator cup in my right shoulder. It hurt like hell. Had to have surgery.

I Was in the Southern interior of British Columbia last week and it's drier than a popcorn fart. That is not good for that desert as she will light up and burn big time.

Not seasonal temps there?
