I need to get a tie rod for an L1802. #38180-1241-1 from the parts book I have. I have the new tie rod ends and tried to use the previously welded, bent one I currently have.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Well, it sounded like a bad clutch. Sorry to hear of your bad experience. Hopefully no more problems! I've had 3 Kubotas since 1984 and never a major problem. Never had to replace a clutch? Thanks for the note and good luck!
Hi Bluegill,
I am redbeards wife. I am the one that posted the messages.
I just had to tell you that you were right. I told my husband that you thought that it might be a bad clutch and he said that he could not believe it was a bad clutch because the tractor only had 1900 hours on it.
Well, he took the tractor to a Kubota mechanic and they called yesterday and said that the front of the clutch had went bad. It is going to cost over $1,600.00 to get it fixed. He bought the tractor new and he has had alot of problems with it. He said that he will never buy another Kubota tractor.
Thanks again for you input.

I just saw your message about the bushhog. Did you ever get it fixed or are you still having trouble?

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I look in on OT but don't sign in often.
I have the quick release bucket so I only take that off to mow. My rear mower is about 800lbs so the loader helps to co-balance that even with the bucket off. As I've discussed in some threads, I bought 3" rear wheel spacers from The Tracks Company. They're well made and make me feel a little more stable both mowing the sides of hills and when using the FEL on a slight side tilt. I've still raise a rear tire off the ground a few times using the loader at odd angles with a 750lb weight on the 3 point.
I think widening the machine helps. I'd do it again and probably stay with the same spacers. I really don't see a down side as long as you have all your lugs tight. Hope this helps.
Despite what I just said the other day about widening the stance of the front wheels - it did not do well on the L185DT - I am interested to know how you have fared on the L3700, which is pretty close to the same as my new 3200. I do a fair amount of loader work; probably half the time I start the tractor it is to use the loader to move SOMETHING.
Since the loader is so easy to remove I've been planning on taking it off while mowing or tilling. My feeling was that without the loader, the tractor would be wide enough to give me reasonable stability.
Having said all of that, I'd still widen it, if there is no apparent down side. Your thoughts will be appreciated, and considered counsel.
Hi Vic,
Today I was mowing along with my B-7100 and saw a patch of thicker brush in the field and thought my Mid-Mower should be able to handle it. I slowed up eased onto it and my tractor engine stalled out just as I was getting into it. I've stalled the engine before and it always just started right back up. No loud noise or damage that I can tell but the engine now will not start up. It's cranks over but doesn't start. I waited for it to cool down and still no start. It cranks over and just puts out a little black smoke from the exhaust pipe. My fear is I didn't have the RPMs up high enough when I started over the brush with my mower deck and when it stalled it may have jumped time. I know nothing about these little motors so I don't know where to start looking to diagnose. Maybe a blown fuse or vapor lock? I would appreciate any help. Thanks much. Steve
The front half of the PTO shaft is stuck in our Kubota tractor's PTO --any ideas would be appreciated.
Hi Vic, I have broken the front axle housing on my zb5000. Would you have one or know where I might be able to find one? I have a guy welding it but because it is cast iron he tells me it won’t last. Would I be able to find on from a 7000 and make the switch or would that be a problem? There is a whole front assemble on eBay for the 7000 but not sure if the gearing would work? Any help would be appreciated thanks.
Hey Vic, I broke the pin on the drag link of my b1750 hst, I have a chance to get a used drag link from a b7200 hst p/n 67401-56400. It looks in the pic to be the same general shape. Are they basically interchangable, or am I going to buy a new part for my b1750? Thanks
pulled the head off my l245dt. new one ordered , hopefully this will take care of the antifreeze in the oil. pics in my profile.
Hi Vic. Can you take a look at my L245DT transmission post? I am in need of replacing the reverse shift fork and need to know what the process is.
It seems i remember someone posted a website where you could look up kubota parts. Also posted a parts house in canada that were cheaper. Im having trouble getting the chain and lower sprocket out of the side gearcase on a kubota fs850 tiller. I have the adjusting finger out but i cant get the other part out that goes through the side of the caseim assuming its a chain adjuster of some sort. Does anyone know of repair manuals online? Any help will be appreciated.
