I am wondering if anyone out there has an electrical wiring diagram that matches my tractor--I purchased a work shop manual and the electrical is close to what I have but does not match for all items. I am trying to fix problems with start relay and stop solenoid not energizing when key is turned on and no voltage to start relay in start position. In the process of trouble shooting--i have found no 12volt power to the start relay or the stop solenoid---all the safety switches are closed to provide ground to both relay coils--Im missing the 12volts. According to the wiring diagram the power comes directly from the main start switch ---I have removed the wiring harness completely from rear of tractor and have found I have a white/black wire that is powered up in start position and should go to my relays---it goes to a black box located on top of transmission{below seat} that has 10 wires going to box. The box has numbers k3511 55222 and Taiko 0522--any body help me as to what this box does and why is not on wiring diagram?? I checked my parts manual also and could not locate this device--apppears to be a solid state relay.

I am going to give you my educated guess.
Messicks shows this same part used on 7 or 8 other models including the B21 which means other wiring diagrams can identify its function.
It is the OPC or Operator Presence Controller.
Depending upon where you bought your WSM it may or may not have this feature. some countries require it a few do not.
From the B21 WSM
The operator presence control (OPC) system which automatically stops the engine when operator
stands from the seat. This system is controlled by the seat switch (8) , OPC controller (7), key
stop solenoid relay (6), key stop solenoid
(5), PTO lever safety switch (12), and HST pedal safety switch (13).
■ Electric Circuit
1. When sitting on the seat in the state of main switch "ON", the battery current
passes the seat switch (8), OPC controller (7) and maintain the key stop solenoid relay (6).
2. When standing form the operators seat, the circuit from the seat switch (8) to
the OPC controller (7) is cut. However, if the HST pedal (or PTO lever) are set at a neutral
position, the circuit from the battery to the key stop solenoid relay (6) is formed with the
HST pedal and PTO lever (or release the seat lock from forward position) switch (8), (12),
(13).
3. When standing from the seat while shifting the PTO lever (12) or HST pedal (13), the circuit
from the battery to the key stop solenoid relay (6) is cut, and the engine is stopped by function
of key stop solenoid (5).

This controller is the brain and gets signals from other safety and position switches. It is often suspect.

If you need more info contact me using the "Conversation" feature of the forum. Click on my name on the left of this post. Provide me your email address and I will send you a link to download the B21 manual.

Since you can see a crack in the controller, it is likely the root of your problem as there are electronic circuits inside.

I have replaced a number of those OPC control boxes on that vintage L48 tractor. It wouldn't surprise me none if yours has failed.

Yep OPC:
Your WSM doesn't show it because you have an old version WSM not a new version.

Do you know the part # for the WSM that covers the L48 1150 enhanced unit ---I found a manual on Messicks-97897-12612 but have not been able to determine if this is correct manual( I already bought one manual that is for L48 1150 but it is for older version and does not show the OPC that I have installed in my tractor. I need the electrical schematics for the OPC so i can confirm that it has failed before purchasing a new one. I have had a response from Dave_eng and Whitetiger but so far no schematics or info for correct WSM. Whitetiger responded but I was week late on getting back to him as I got called out to work on a fire--just now getting back to troubleshooting this tractor. My e. mail is Scott99901@yahoo.com if you have any information on obtaining correct wiring diagram it would be much appreciated. I did find a OPC_K3511-55222 that matches mine on Messicks but no wiring schematic for it--I know I can just start replacing parts till it is fixed but will eventually need a wiring diagram for this unit as I plan on keeping it for some time.
