So we have 1-3 inches of snow forecast. Stores no longer have any bread, milk or beer since someone may get snowed in for an hour. Schools closed before any precip even hit the ground.

Milk and bread are overrated. I go for beer and Fritos when the snow flies

Not sure the amount but when I went to the chicken pen at dusk it was over the arch of my boots.

I live near Angier, NC or bout 10 miles from Fuquay or Benson.

Still snowing good here.

Just rode to the store in Coats plenty of bread, milk, and beer there.

Hope roads are good in the am fine earlier just slushy have to be in at 5:00.

1-3 inches of snow here and we call that a dusting, or spring weather... no need to even change out of our flip flops and shorts to mess with that. :p

I love it when people in the mid-south get more snow during the winter than we do up in northern Indiana.

Being from the north I laugh when it happens down here. Most Ive seen here was about two inches, city was shut down for about 3 days. Thats pretty rare though. If there is even a slight chance of snow or ice the schools are shut down. Since I moved out of the city I cant even get to work because they close all the bridges too

Different regions of the country get a kick out of how others respond to weather that they are accustomed to. Up here in NW Pa, people are whining about how hot it is when we top 90 and got forbid it ever reaches 100...people are lose their minds. Snow though? There is very little snow that most pay attention to...they only thing that perks anyone's interest is when the forecast is for "significant accumulations." When they won't go out on a limb with a predicted total, ya know it's serious. Being a teacher, I can tell you we've had dumpings of up to a foot over night and go to school the next day. If they cancelled school every time it snowed, we'd be in school until August.

Looks like NC got about as much snow as we did in the lehigh valley PA ...all winter!

I'm fine with it. Only had to plow once this year (so far) and then, it was just a bit of snow that I likely could've just left to melt.

This is estimated total for the next 24-48 hours...this is usually what it takes to get any attention here locally. This is lake effect snow at it's best. Lake Erie never froze this winter. (Typically, lake effect isn't an issue at this point in the winter.)
