'83 B6200. Was running 2 weeks prior. Turn key to heat plug..it heats up, turn key....nothing. Put a battery charger on the battery for 2 days, doesn't help. Tried to jump tractor off...doesn't help.

Any other things to try?
Are there any fuses/etc that I can check?
How much of the wiring is necessary for the 6200 to run?
There is a fuse holder (blue w/ red stripe if I remember correctly) that has gotten broken (does this one go to the horn?)

Any suggestions that can be made would be appreciated! If you have a suggestion...please send message to

Thanks
Keith

Welcome to the forum. :D

Do you have a 12V test light? Check the smallest wire at the starter solenoid when the start switch is turned and see if power is coming to the solenoid.

Check your ground and battery connections too. Seeing that the glowplugs are working, the connections should be good but just something that you could check easily. AquaForce has a good idea to test starter solenoid power.

Start with basics. remove both batt cables and clean. remove other end of batt cables and clean. remove big wire from solenoid to starter and clean.

I am having exactly the same problem with my 1-year old BX25. Have checked all fuses and cleaned all connections and recharged the battery. Just tried looking a the voltage to the starter per suggestion above, and have no voltage on the small b/w wire to the starter when I turn the ignition. (Glow lamps and fuel pump go on.) What does this mean - the ignition is bad?

There should only be power at that wire if the key is fully turned to the start position and there is continuity through any interlocks.I don't know what ones are fitted to your model but my old B7100 only has one which is on the clutch pedal.
