Why so many pop up ads recently?

I would hope that the forum would restrict ads to the top and bottom of the screen and not allow pop ups to obscure reading and posting to discussions. We shouldn’t have to download special applications to use the forum. I don’t have this issue on any other site

Sadly it might be the way the forum is set up for non paid members, because the three of you that are commenting / complaining about it, are non paid members.

And all of you are seasoned members.

I don’t think it’s that, screen shots on safari and brave. I started using brave a couple years ago for issues with the site.

I dont get anything in brave, I get adds in safari.

edit: top one is brave obviously

Another edit 🤣: I don’t have anything else installed, all I did was switch browsers for issues I had. Only use iPhone to get on here

I’ve noticed the same thing with ads in the last month. Prior that it never occurred. The ads pop up from the bottom of the screen on my mobile and obstruct most of what I was trying to read. Do not have this issue on any other sites.

It has to be how the ads are formatted to pop up by the company that is supplying the ads. I am not a paid member and I don't have any problems with the site.
