Ford ( maybe others...) no longer put owners manuals in glovebox... you have to lookup, online to get info. Least that's what they do with the battery powered JOKE of a Mustang, had one here for 1/2 day.
As for info IN a manual, the wheel nut torque value is NOT in the manual for my '97 F150. I'm guessing that numbe risn't important ??
BTW some of us don't have ANY kind of socalled 'smart' phone
Smart phones are for those of us who recognize we’re not smart enough to benefit from much of what living in the modern world entails without it.
Flip phones are for those who don’t want to engage with the world but want to complain when the world doesn’t automatically do everything for their own convenience. Or if it does do it automatically…bitch about that.
It‘s a lot like someone
blaming the car for its safety-features when they’re only qualified to walk.…. or like
blaming the gov’t when they’re sick even tho’ they refused to be vaccinated or wear a mask and bitch about hospital costs but don’t like universal health care and then bitch about inflation and empty store-shelves because sick workers aren’t at work. (And then
blame the current guy-in-charge because the previous guy-in-charge refused to implement or even listen-to the pandemic-protocols the earlier guy-in-charge established and warned him about because the previous guy-in-charge hated his predecessor.)
My RAM P/U came with a CD in the console in lieu of an Owners Manual…and when I complained about how that was inconvenient when sitting in traffic or on the side of the road trying to figure out the features…they sent me a free Owners Manual about 3 inches thick. I made a pot of coffee and read it all the way through ….and put ”tabs” on the pages I thought most important…. like how to re-set the oil-change-reminder and what type replacement lamps it uses, etc.
That way I can be personally responsible and accountable for its’ use
rather than blame others.
