We also use those red blinking lights which are supposed to scare critters away. I can see the light gets distorted by the monofilament. the deer avoid; we don't have deer entanglement problems.
A strobe light works well too.

Not keeping up on what is going on in the rest of the world, is like burying your head in that garden sand.
Ignoring the world around us can seriously affect our lifestyles/investments too!
keeping up with the world around me without watching mainstream propaganda is why Im trying to keep busy in the garden 😁

I loaned my 5' tiller to my brother-in-law and need to get it back so I can start my garden.

It is our civic duty to try (it ain't easy) to filter the world news through our individual brains, for the betterment of the USA.

Think you might get it back by July, with two broken tines?
Apparently, he started to till one spot and felt his John Deere 3520 was a bit too top heavy to till where he was trying to. So he took it off and hasn't touched it since. He's a master mechanic and the director of a very large service center that works on tractors, so no worries if he broke anything...

That is the ONLY type guy I would ever loan anything to.

Agreed! He's one of very few living men that I would trust with anything. Real good guy and he and I are always there to help one another. Both of my sisters are married to two brothers. I wouldn't say this about the other B-I-L. lol

I note that your tiller is a 60" KK.
I have had one for 8 years, stored in building, but never used,....situation changed & I rarely sell "stuff"
It looks robust, but do you like it?
I think I'll pass mine off to one of my sons.
They will likely have one hell of an auction, in very few years.

Yeah I love it. Very heavy duty and works very well. I lucked into it... A buddy bought it brand new and used it one time and sold it to me for $600. Seen the same model sold locally, well used, for $1800.

it’s not to late for you to adopt another one! I won’t let the stuff go 🤣
The funny thing is, that my daughter (will be 60 in July) might actually be more likely to keep/use the stuff.
One son is an major airline management pilot, and the other is a carpenter.
They get along very well (with their sister- not so much), but, I'll never know what really happened.

Too bad about your Strawberries. Are your tomatoes under a grow light? Looks like purple light.
My strawberries for the most part survived, need to replace about 1/4. Will be doing tomatoes and peppers in the greenhouse near the end of the month. Raspberries looking good, will be planting the garden may long weekend and the wife wants 2 apple and 2 cherry trees planted soon.
Good luck with your crop.
Try 2 peach trees also.
Outcome will depend on how far inland you are in BC.

Got everything pulled up a few weeks ago. Very brave or stupid man in this picture.

Tilled everything a few days ago, retilled today and laid the rows off.

I plowed and tilled my garden area last week. Tomorrow I will plant the cold weather veggies like potatoes, onions, and greens. Maybe even some tomatoes in walls of water protective tents. Still about a month away from planting warm weather veggies in my area. Years ago I constructed a 8’ fence around my garden and orchard area to keep the deer out. Chicken wire around the bottom of the fence also excludes rabbits.
