Let's see your snow clearing pictures and videos! I'm putting something together. I started with the B2160 plow on my BX loader arms but had to swap out for the BX2755HD. Was a bit too much for my plow. If you were in the storm's path, how'd you make out?

I realize that our situation is much different, but if it's out of the ordinary it's not good.

We have 1 1/2" of ice on the roads and most of the entire state is on lockdown. No interstate travel.....nothing. That plus we have another "blow" coming in later today and tonight.

Everything is back to normal today. I did take the time to shovel off my flat deck and the pan of the truck. I still have to pull the trailer out of the snow and clear around / under it. i Am lucky this year I got free barn storage for my boat so it’s one less thing to push snow around.

We got several inches of sleet and snow here in southern Maine. It was like walking in 4" of sugar. All mealy and icey.
It was 14* here this morning. I've been feeding the whitetails for a few months now.
In this cold weather they really lap it up.

We are up to about 13" of snow at the house.

Some areas of the state got upwards to 10" today so far. Total for the state is 16" as of the 6pm news, after the storm Monday and what we have gotten so far today.

Geeez Daren it is really goofy to read that your backyard looks like mine! I am grateful when I get up and have power as my generator is running on a wing and a prayer, grateful my automatic waterers had managed the 13 below last night, and grateful for those tractors to clear paths between the barns.

Our snow will probably be gone by Sunday though. 33° Friday, 45° Saturday, and 57° Sunday. Calling for mid 60's Tuesday.

Didn't have it bad here in SW MI on Tuesday. The piles are starting to get in the way though.

Snow is piling up

Release the Kracken!
Just got a jump on this storm. Plowed in wicked blowing snow. Turned out to be pretty much a waste of time :( Wind blew it back in spades!

Using offset back blade

Hate the front blade, have to keep it a couple inches off the ground and let rear blade do final cleanup. Here's what I can do with rear blade only.

No snow here but the freezing rain yesterday evening and last night has overweighted our Pine trees. They are not designed for such so the weight snaps off the entire limbs.

Some of what is in my front yard and that ain't snow, it's ice. Our roads are blocked, interstate highways closed and over 80K customer's without power (us included) just within my area. Statewide who knows?

Does the front blade have shoes for it??? Or can you fab some up?

At least then you can put it in float once you get your angle set and roll with it.

In my time in Texas the thickest ice I've seen has been about 1". This week my pond has 8" of ice on it. It's wild. In opening up the pond for drinking, its really impressive what a chainsaw does to ice. One or two more days below 32, then thawing out.

Need a stock tank deicer and have no electricity? Take a 5 gal metal pail, put a bag of charcoal briquets in and light it. Put a "T" post through the handle of the bucket and hang the post across the stock tank.
