I went looking for where to get fuel filter and coolant from online.

The Kubota site was a real mystery. Couldn't get it to work in searching for B2601HSD-1 stuff. Even put the serial # in. Still nothing.

Finally settled on Messicks. They had a combined filter kit. Was surprised that one does for all Bs.

Added some coolant listed.

Where do you get your parts and supplies?

Closest one to me is Piedmont Power right in Charlottesville.

Messicks and German-Bliss.

I don't bother with the dealer.

Dealer.

Less than 5 miles away and, being a good customer, dealer gives me parts discount.

1 1/2 hour round trip plus time at store, with covid and bathrooms closed everywhere I'm not doing it, I'll order online.
The dealers used to deliver free , now they charge an arm. I have no loyalty to dealer.
You pay tax online so its a wash.

I buy filters/filter kits on ebay or Amazon. Hydraulic fluid I buy from the local dealer. Diesel engine oil and antifreeze from any local auto parts store, Walmart, etc.

My dealer is 5 hours away. But he told me to call when I need to do service and they will put all needed filters in a box and ship to me. I’m sure that your dealer will do the same.

Local dealer. Prices are in line with online options and I’d rather support them if they’re competitive. They’re about 20 miles away but I have various reasons to be in their vicinity anyway so they're not inconvenient at all. I usually call, tell them what I need to make sure it’s in stock before I stop by. It’s all pulled and waiting in a box for me by the time I get there and so far they’ve had all the maintenance type stuff in stock.

I get my M1 0w30 ESP (light diesel rated) from Advance Auto: $32/5 quart container. Got enough now for the 50 hour on the B and 10 year on the Isuzu generator driver.

Ordered an oil filter for the JD 2025R online one time.

Normally I get them from the dealer I got the tractor from. But I seldom go to that town so it's always a special trip.
I like to keep at least 1 PM cycle of oil and filters for all my autos and machines on hand. That way I don't have to make any extra trips to get them. That said when was shopping for the block heater for my new tractor https://rlpartssupply.com ( You need to know what filter numbers you need as they don't have a good lookup page), was about $30 less for it than my dealer was. They had free shipping for orders over $149 so I got all the filters for the 50 hour change plus an extra air filter pair.

My local dealer is 1 hour away for misc parts, but so far it's worked great ordering maintenance supplies online from Nova International here in Canada, Kubota Parts | Kubota Parts Online | Nova International Ltd (shopnovaintl.com) , and there's "Free Shipping in Canada for Orders Above $99" so I get my oils and filters from them for all the 200 and 400 hour intervals. They have regular sale events so I make sure I'm stocked for the next 400 hours interval including 2 engine oil filters, 2 hst filters, and a hydraulic sump filter. Plus the 20 liters Kubota Premium HST oil. The fuel and air filters last with cleaning so got one spare set for now. The sale event prices with free shipping does a bit better than the dealer and get delivery to home.

The Kubota online parts site has always worked for me.
Is this the site you tried?

I just tried it and looked up " B2601"
The site immediately broke it down into 2 choices:
  1. B2601HSD
  2. B2601HSD-1
Selecting #2 opened up the illustrated parts listings for your tractor.

Yes, but are you able to see prices, shipping cost and make the purchase right there?

Of course not.... that is the PARTS LIST.

Once you have identified the P/N you are looking for, you can search and shop for it.

Infact... pretty much EVERY company on the planet has separate parts-list -vs- Price-list.
  • The Parts-list database is maintained by the equipment designers and also contains upgraded P/N as the engineers develop them
  • The Price-list database is maintained by the 'bean counters' who track manufacturing-costs, supply/demand, as well as country where the parts are being sold. There may also be cost-controls based on who gets to sell the parts. (Some companies ONLY allow dealers to sell their parts)
I agree that some companies have software which relate these two separate databases together. Kubota is not one of them.

Even if you go into a Kubota parts-counter... they will use the VERY SAME Parts-list I posted above, lookup the P/N, then access a separate (propitiatory) system to determine cost of said parts. I prefer to go to the Kubota parts counter because there is NO SHIPPING COST for the parts to arrive.

….
This method appeases the Shinto Kubota gods I take it…??. :ROFLMAO:

(I’m suspicious a spell-correction-software selected (propitiatory) instead of proprietary…. :p

I hate the spell-correct in my cell-phone because I can personally check my msg…then click <send> ….and the damn spell-check will change a word to something completely different than what I’ve intended. This can have near-disastrous effects….such as the time I sent my grand-daughter a comment about her salad-dressing recipe…. I had texted to ther that “I love your dressing !! … I served it to guests and had a great reaction ! Thanks !”

She had a reaction also……. when I subsequently realized the damn software had auto-corrected my spelling….to send: “I served it to guests and had a great erection !”.

Thanks. Got it to work. Indeed, the oil filter for all the B series is the same. Once you get part #s, you can order from Amazon.

Got my Messicks filters and coolant coming supposedly today.
