just off-road/monster trucks and crawlers for now
That’s a cool hobby!

A buddy’s sons were into race cars pretty big 20 years ago.

The sons are my age. It’s a hobby that can last many years.

Like anything….just add money, but it’s all good if you and your son are into it. 👍

Neat!

Stupid question….years ago those went from internal combustion to electric?

I think my friends kids had battery operated cars years ago. Their “old” ones worked off alcohol?

I’m assuming they’re all electric now?

Not being a smart aleck- just asking….🧐

There are still nitro engines in rc’s. But for the most part, battery and speed controller technology has came so far, batteries are superior. Especially for crawlers, where precise movements are needed. Even with the big tire bashers, a 6s battery is 22.2v and some have extremely high discharge rates, that equals some fast fun.

Yeah like Matt said, nitros are still around, the two above that are black and orange are both nitros. That’s what got us into this. I never had em growing up aside from toy grade disposable battery type. Got my son the nitro monster truck last Xmas and it’s been downhill since 🤣
