What tools?

I have the basics in my tool box as mentioned above. Keep plenty of pins and clips, mine just seem to disappear....

I have a plastic container that I keep various hitch clip pins and hair pins in. Amazon sales various assortments for pretty cheap.

I also carry my battery operated blower with me when I head to my land, enables me to blow out the radiator area and me after a dusty day of working.

I leave mine on the farm we hunt for a few days at the time instead of hauling it back and forth. I plan to get me a nice canvas tarp to toss over it during these times. This way when I arrive back the next morning to work it is not soaking wet from the dew or shower that passed through over night. Not necessary by no means but I try to look after my equipment and water seeping in places can cause all kinds of issues as you know.

Some great suggestions here. I second Jim on the need to address flat tires. That is one problem that affects old and new tractors.

Those odd ball sizes work good to hammer on rusted fasteners that have gotten smaller as they rust away

May have been to fit metric size fasteners when that first started creeping into the USA. That is nearly exactly 15 mm

That 19/32 socket was in my Grandfather's set. He had no metric sockets in his 1/2" drive S-K kit. He passed 1988.

If 19/32 is about 15mm, I'm betting you nailed it.

He had a 1974 Datsun pickup. I bought it from him when he became ill.

I'm pretty sure it was metric. Jeepers, I did a ton of work on it, you'd think I would remember.....

He bought his S-K sockets at the local Agway feed store.

Don't think they would have had metric S-K at the local Agway in the mid-70's. 19/32 was close enough.

Now I'm thinking it's only 45 years old, not 60....but I'm betting you've got it.

Not sure that a 15mm bolt head was even standard but I am sure my 75 Datsun 280Z was 100% metric (loved that car). I think they were always metric hardware and am sure that the head size may have been changed over time and country.

True - - - 15mm is not so common now.

Still betting you're correct with the use of the 19/32....used it on the Datsun.

I guess you can find many ready kits for any works in specialized shops. The best with new tractors is that you don't have much work with it. All pieces are new and will work perfectly. I've seen on https://www.cherokeeobserver.org/best-welding-table-reviews/ ready kits for any type of repairs. The best about them is that each piece has a special place, so your container won't transform in a mess. I'd purchase one with a locker. Trust me, it's the best what you can do for your equipment. Like this, you avoid some mysterious cases.
