While I agree this should be a thread all its own,,, but I will explain his thinking,,, if no one knows you own a firearm or carry one, or have anti or controversial thoughts about what ever, and you dont post it, one way or the other, then odds are you will not be a target for those whoes views differ with yours. Makes sense to me but then what do I know

Well that's the whole problem now....isn't it? You should never be a 'TARGET' of some deranged SOB because you have different views. I will NEVER bend to that mindset.

Anyone who caves to that kind of intimidation is part of the 'herd' that has reduced us to a Nation of Cowards.

Stand up for what you earnestly believe in (just make sure you are right).

Political Correctness, Go along to get along, Wokeness and pandering to snowflakes has eroded our society IMO. I will have no part of it. People lawfully living their lives are not the problem. People that seek to steal from you, harm you, damage your property ARE the problem. Running and hiding from it will NOT address the 'problem'.

Could be a deterrent....who knows.

I'm thinking someone should come up with a device to replace the 'alarm' many vehicles have that are motion activated....with the deep, guttural growl of a Doberman or Rottweiler.

You could have tinted windows and no one would really know if one was inside or not.

Well on a hot summer day....probably not.

There are a couple problems about what you said. Stand up for what you believe is good imho, as long as it isclear that it is your opinion, but making sure you are "right" is another story in complex issues. You may be partly right or you may be in possession of faulty data.

As far as not advertising your stance on controversial issues on your house or car, seems like common sense would suggest a little thought first would be good. Not because most people would dislike it or you, but at the moment there are a lot of fruit loops carrying assault rifles. It only takes one of them to ruin your day.
