Thanks. The belt is tight, but not touching that idler / tensioner at all. Once the belt stretches, I guess I’ll have to adjust it.

I don't think there is any adjustment of that idler.
I think it's just there to keep the belt from getting eaten by the supports. ;)

The M9 has it as well. Don't believe it's ever turned in all the years I've owned it. Guide only.

It might just be a 'in case helper' when the belt gets slack and 'whips' back and forth.
I KNOW if you remove it, sooner or later ,you'll wishe you hadn't !!
