If I showed the wife your nice collection......I'd have to add on more storeage space to either the house or shop!! What a cool collection!!
Thanks!
People love them, but they are bulky to store. I keep the in the rafters of my garage & storage building up north, so I have to haul them back and forth. I bag them in plastic garbage bags to keep them clean.

I collect stuff on my shoes. I don't work at it. It doesn't keep me up at night wondering if I'll get the final collector's piece tomorrow.

Wife gets angry sometimes with the stuff I drag home. It's usually stuff that doesn't have an odor. If I smelt it, I'd fix it. No dog, cat, or steer poop. Or used bubble gum. Thankfully.

But it's usually things like electrical tape, duct tape, pipe solder, paint, spackle, or pipe primer and glue.

I've learned to shed the shoes or boots and slip into flip flops or night slippers when I get into the house. Weather makes the choice.

Great group of Marlin's! Some very vivid color case colors on the 39? Do you have other pictures of it?
Are those mostly Marble rear peep sights?
Ken they are all the correct Lyman peeps for each rifle! They are stamped bottom side ,all sights are slightly different for each rifle. I have also owned a few period scpes and Lyman flip front sights also. I have to tell you I sold my collection off before I retired. I only have a few rifles left. I did reload and shoot all of these rifles! All still very accurate with the correct load and diameter bullet!

I love lever actions too. I have three JM stamped Marlins including an 1895 SBL in .45-70 Govt., an 1894 Cowboy in .45 Colt and a 1894 SS in .357 Mag. Wonderful rifles for sure. I'd like a lever action in .454 Casull but they're not easy to find anymore. I had two other JM stamped Marlins both in .45-70 Govt., but sold them when they were selling for a premium, along with a lot of other stuff.

Nice SBL! The 45 colt cowboy was my first Marlin that started an addiction of over 50 Marlins octagons round ported I had to have them all and almost did! Thats where my screen name came from! I also had the 45-70 addiction! Marlin 1895 Cowboy, GBL, and cant remember that last model 18" octagon! Cowboy Limited III.

The 20" Cowboy model I have has the octagon barrel with Skinner sights. Such a cool little lever action and really fun to shoot. I've worked up hard cast handloads in the 250gr to 360gr range and it's quite the thumper.

I have a Marlin 1894C in .357 Magnum. It is used at least a few times each week. I bought it new in 1984 and it is a little beat up through the years but it has always been a very accurate daily shooter. Until a few years ago I used to cast my own bullets and reload but all I shoot are factory rounds now. I gave all my reloading equipment to my son. Now he and his sons reload and shoot.

Thats a fine rifle. I had one also and took it hunting a couple times but never had the opportunity to take a deer with it.

Had a couple of older Lever Actions (back in the 70's) that I used to Deer Hunt with (just for the nostalgia). Wish I'd kept the Model 71. A bit much for Central Texas Deer....but fun to shoot.

I also have several Lionel O Gage trains/track and related. Went to a model train show in Syracuse this past weekend with the wife she feel in love with the little buildings/people. Now we are seriously talking about building a G scale track around our Koi pond and bog 🤦‍♂️. Oh yeah another one of my hobbies that my wife is into too.

I have taken probably between 5 and 7 deer with it and countless rabbits through the years. I love me some breaded deep fried rabbit.

That 20" Cowboy is an 1894 chambered in .45 Colt but still a thumper given how light it is and the payload! :giggle:
