I tell Myself what to do all the time. He doesn't listen. I think he's hard of hearing.Better in your bucket than running down your leg - don't ask how I know. Since then I keep telling myself when ever I fill anything "put on both caps before you move your feet".

Typically the wind also keeps the roof clean of snow where I am. Good for one thing and bad for others.I don't know what your snow loads are up in PEI but around here in NE VT only the very robust units survive the heavy wet storms or rain on top of existing dry snow.
