A couple of weeks ago I spent an hour fixing 20 or so small potholes that were on the county road but only a few feet from the bottom of my driveway. The following week they finally got to grading and made a mess of the transition between my driveway and the county road. This afternoon I spent some time on the MX fixing their sloppy work and making some passes on the lower driveway.

I find that I get better results pulling the scraper up hill. I wanted to move some material from the near the bottom of the driveway where it seems to migrate/collect during the year. The weather is all over the place at the moment but some moisture will help to settle the dust.

I washed the tractor this morning, greased the loader bushings/pins and blew out the air filter, but after a few hours work it looks pretty filthy again.

I've seen some used low hour vibratory rollers for sale locally and I sort of wish I had one. I could do a really good job on the gravel driveway if I could run up and down with a roller.

That material looks super easy to work with. I can see why the material moves from rain/snow events because of it size. Just get you a new 13K lb SVL 97 to pack it in!

A neighboring ranch down the road ask for my services. 2in rock base belly dumped. This place is within a flood plain area, really wish my grasses look this green!

That material looks super easy to work with. I can see why the material moves from rain/snow events because of it size. Just get you a new 13K lb SVL 97 to pack it in!

Yep! A grading scraper/land plane/land leveler works really well on an established driveway. The gravel that's down is called 3/4" crush, and with all the fines will pack quite well given enough weight. The last time I paid anyone to do work on the driveway was back in July of 2016. My neighbor (at the time) and I split the cost of having gravel put down along with having a small culvert added near the bottom which is indicated by the pile of small rocks at lower left in the picture. You can see the contractor finishing up with a small roller.

Last summer my neighbor of six years or so paid to have gravel bought in, but the driver did a really poor job of dumping the gravel. I spread it out as best I could and am still working to get the humps out. I'm hoping that the addition of gauge wheels to the rear Buhler/Farm King blade will enable me to do a better job of that.

I have a 17,000lb M-1078 and have considered using that as a roller. The tire treads remind me of a sheep's foot compactor/roller. I don't see a skid steer/track loader being in my future, but an excavator such as a KX057-5 could be in my future a couple of years from now. It would be slow to use as a roller, but it would be useful at my place in a number of ways. I'd be looking at a used model.

got around to bypassing the seat safety so i can run my pto wood chipper. just made a 2 pin deustch connector and depinned the safety wires from the harness and pinned in a jumper.

if i find a good place for a switch or a switch i like ill wire one in
