I finally decided to replace the headlights with LEDs and my goodness, I didn't realize you needed to be superman to put them in! What a terrible design Kubota! Why couldn't you just use a standard headlight connector that could be found on a side by side or a vehicle? Like why make it this difficult?! No need for this.

I had to become a contortionist to change these lights. But I did it.

For those who are wondering, the headlights in the L2501 are P15D H6M and these are what I went with.

Pretty cheap at $18-ish and wow they are bright!! They look great, well made. The only odd thing is that the high beams and low beams are reversed. But that's ok. Not a big deal to me.

All the videos I watched and forum posts say "just pull the rubber boot back and push in the socket and take it out, I was under the impression the light and socket was together. But the light just sits in the headlight bucket and you have to push and twist the socket. Its so incredibly difficult when the hood is up and at an angle, the light just wants to fall out. I ended up removing the headlight buckets, undoing the wiring harness, just a few clips, so I had some length in the wire so I can see what the heck I'm doing and I was able to finally get them in and twist the socket back on.

Only took me 3 hours. ONLY.

Maybe John Deere is better after all....😆

Left is the original bulb and the right is the LED, can't you tell?!

Here it is with both installed. They are very bright!!

I'm curious to see how well they work at night, maybe I'll post a picture today tonight with them on when it's completely dark.

I was worried how they fit in the headlight bucket, but they fit great.

I will for sure update you on how long they last, hopefully a long time because I don't want to take them back out again. Not fun.

I thought about going that route but decided to forgo the hassle and just do the LED pods on the ROPS. In most cases where I found myself needing my headlights, the FEL position was just right to block them from being effective. I should have got a picture while I was tending the spoils fire I had going Monday evening, 8 pm cloudy, no light out in the field flipped the pods on and it was like daylight, so nice to drive the tractor around and be able to see what I was doing.

I plan on adding the pod lights as well. But I don't use the tractor much at night, I rarely plow snow at night but that's next on my list anyways. I wanted LEDs in the front just because it looks more modern to me when I do have the lights on for safety reasons.

When working near the road, always good to have enough bright lights to be noticed!

Like @biketopia said, usually the headlights are about worthless if you have a loader or snowblower on the front.

The bucket makes a better door than window......

That said, I've changed all my BX lights to LED. Makes a big difference.

Most of my snow removal is done in the dark. I have LED's on my ROPS looking forward and aft.

I just did it for looks anyways. Just looks much nicer to me when they are on and less strain on the electrical system too. I do want to change the tail lights because they are not that bright.

Now that's it's dark...wow yeah it's bright. I haven't taken it outside but it's really cold and don't wanna lose all the heat in the garage right now.

Long day, just rolled in, I'll unload the trailer in the morning. Last paid job for the SVL this year. I probably put over 9 hours of seat time in the cab today.

I forgot to take before pics. Anyways, I exceeded the customers expectations, which I always try and do anyways. She sent me the pictures she had. I basically cleared an acre of really thick South Texas Trees/Brush, everything I cleared off was invasive species, to include the mesquites. The mesquite tree is one of the toughest, most invasive species of brush in the world.

The area on the other side the fence, or behind that trailer. I probably moved 10 tons of prickly pear to the burn piles, I ran out of trees and brush to move even more Cactus. I drop the trees and brush on the prickly pear and use that as a means to grab all the pads. A few of the Cactuses were the size of small cars.

Where does one acquire "Heavy rubber stall mats?"
Like Napping Sun Prancer said, Farm and fleet stores, equine stores, Tractor supply, Home Depot has them, Don't feel like going out Amazon and eBay have them too, but be prepared to pay more as they are heavy to ship.

Big wind and rain storm. Tree fell on my kubota. Hit the roll bar, flattened the back tires, and bounced off. Could have been worse.

Added armrests to my LX2610SU. Just happened to see them on Messicks while looking for something else. Didn’t know they made them for my seat. View attachment 143928
Absolutely they do. That's why the seat has preinstalled inserts on the back. There's actually another mounting bracket for the seat to allow it to swivel back for a backhoe on the SU model. Not available for CAB models, though. I was going to get the BH77 when I bought mine, but while the backhoe was in plentiful supply, subframes for the LX2610SU were not. It was a brand-new model when I got it, so yep, all the goodies for attachments were hard to find. Talked myself outta the BH77 in the meantime. I get by without a BH, but sure would be nice to have one at times. I've had my SU since 2018 and it has been a life changer for me. I was struggling to keep up with the undergrowth on my lot, but that thing is a BEAST, even in the 2610 model. I've stalled it a couple times with the chipper (chewing on 6" limbs from a water oak), but otherwise, nope, it's done EVERYTHING I've asked it to. You won't regret your purchase, I promise. Lemme know how you like the arms. I kinda hang my right arm on the joystick because I use the grapple quite a bit and tend to turn to the right to look behind me when reversing. It hurts a bit less to the right than to the left and it's a natural movement from driving as well.

Went down to get one more that was uprooted. It came down with the wet snow on Thanksgiving.

24_12_10-2.JPG

Got it limb out - ugly tree.

24_12_10-3.JPG

After that I had enough for the day and left it propped up off the ground to pull out later. Maybe today.
