Interesting. I never realized they were colored for a reason besides just to look different than the glue.
Another 4+ hours of washing today and she's almost clean. This damn machine traps grease everywhere. I had grease balls the size of golf balls coming out of from the elbow skid plates. I'm glad I ordered the shell brand grease that it comes from the factory, cause that's what I'm switching back to, it's a like a soap based grease. More on that later.

You can use it on an existing grass stand, with varying results. It depends on how well the root structure is with what’s there. Some places it does a great job with overseeding without much disturbance, and some spots it can tear it up where it’s not well rooted. But the results end up being pretty good either way.
Rows. In the picture with the dirt, it’s kind of showing the finish touch from the cultipacker that’s on the rear of the seeder. It has a PTO driven slicer in the front of it that cuts into the ground to create the seed bedding. 50% overlap or multiple directions ends up being a good application

Not the tool I should of used but it was the only tool that I had to use. LX3310 and FDR2584. The clover/weeds were between 12-36" with the odd 48" straggler.
I set the wheels to the highest position and had to go quite slow but for what I had to work with it turned out reasonably decent.

Added some bolt-on hooks from Ken. Pretty easy job. Also purchased fluids and filters for the 50 hour service that’s coming up in 10 hours. Added a vent and fan/louvers to the shop where the tractor is stored and installed a timer to keep the air reasonably refreshed. The shop has already lost that musty smell. Getting prepared to plant pollinators just outside of the lawn and then, disc the property edge to encourage forbs.

I ran into the same thing this week, but on the clutch Z-bar for my Nova. I'm changing the linkage to Heim joints from bent rods and cotter pins. I drilled the clutch pedal arm out no problem, but the Z-bar was harder than Kelsey's nuts. A 3/8" cobalt bit wouldn't do much more than knock off the paint, and running a file over it was confirmation it was hardened. I ended up using a 5/16" bolt with a spacer sleeve in the Heim end. I imagine if I heated it up red hot, that may have taken the temper out of it, but decided not to.
As I posted a few weeks back we had a large solar install go in that required a bunch of driveway destruction and rebuild. After the initial re-fill of the ditch, and a few settling/regrade sessions, I had 15yd or ~20tons of recycled asphalt dropped the other day and spent a few hours yesterday spreading and grading with the bucket and box blade. Came out well. Should set up well for winter and then if I need to I can get some more RAP in the Spring and top dress.
Came home from my camping trip today. Had heavy rains last night. Left the class II I just laid unpacked so it would get real wet. Rolled over it this afternoon. Will be doing this for next couple weeks to get it packed good before it freezes.

I've had two cord of firewood on the ground here since July.
It been raining all summer. The wood is for two years from this winter..I hope it drys over the next two summers as it's still as wet and heavy as it was cut today.
Lots of red oak takes a long time to dry.

Rain the last two days so I took the deck of sharpened the blades and new grease and check the gear oil ready to start the next season.
