What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Filled it with diesel and mowed grass. It's still growing 4-6" about every 5-6 days. I think it's been two years since I used fertilizer. Lots of rain and heat is making it thrive which is unsual for this time of year here. We close on 3 acres beside our property next Thursday and it's got 24-30" of clover to mow. I have a 60" brush cutter lined up for that project.

If there is that much to cut, I wonder if there is a local farmer that might come and harvest it for you ? That way he gets some free hay and you don't need to bush hog it.

Greased everything yesterday. Was able cut down 5 more pine trees and remove the stumps easily with the stump bucket. The grapple easily took the trees into the woods onto my new 'pine pile'.

There is a significantly large hickory to the west of the new arborvitaes I just planted. Several of its branches are shading the new trees after about 2pm Used a rope saw to take down one but the ones left are sure to hit a light fixture if we cut them. Going to take a rigger's rope over them one at a time and just pull them down using a snatch block to direct their fall.

I looking into it and most of of them got 3-4 cuts this year and no one was interested in running a mower over it for me so I need to do it myself.

I spent about 5 hours cutting my friend's fields yesterday afternoon/evening. I like the 540E option on the tractor. I ran around in mid range 4th gear for the most part (1,800rpm) but it was on the bumpy side. I cut his field in late June when it was a lot taller and thicker so this went faster. This was the last cut for this year and I always enjoy helping him out. We loaded up the trailer as the sun was setting. A good day for sure.

Time to unload the M6060 from the trailer and change the oil.

You really need atleast a 12' cutter for that, one of the smaller batwings, you will have a 40% increase cutting width and less passes, faster cutting times.

Taught my son how to lube the mmm before mowing Tuesday. Gave both my Orange a once over and headed back inside to my approved recovery location. Will walk him through installing the rear blade on the 3200 once the leaves start dropping.

Never heard of that...always thought for a good connection you always needed to use primer first. Please elaborate!

This post made me miss the 2020 m7060 that I sold earlier this year.

My commiserations on the loss of your 7060. If I had ordered a tractor an M7060 would have been my choice, but the M6060 was on the lot in Sheridan, WY and at too good of a price to pass up.

As for a batwing/flex wing/folding rotary cutter ,.... heck yeah! I'd love one of those but they're so expensive and hard to justify. My friend's place has a big open field but also some smaller areas that are tricky enough with the 7ft rotary cutter. In addition, a 12ft batwing cutter is heavy and I'm not sure if my trailer setup would be ok for the M6060 with an RC3712 or RC2512. The Land Pride RCR1884 rotary cutter I bought about two and half years ago was $4,600 and that was before the crazy prices started. I can only imagine what those 12ft folding cutters cost now.

If I were buying a rotary cutter again I'd take a good look at a dual spindle model rather than the single spindle I bought. The RCR1884 has been and continues to be a good cutter, but without any experience with one, I think a dual spindle design would have some advantages.

@Siesta Sundance , I thought you had some fancy seat covers in your M7060 but when I zoomed into the photo I realized that it was the plastic covering!

Anybody have a source for small & light debris/brush forks? My bucket is only 38 1/2" inside dimension, so all I have found are too wide & heavy. Closest I've come is this one...

I still think these are the best forks I know of, but had lots of trouble getting them in hand.

My neighbor, who has a B2150, bought a set of 48" forks off e-boy, and had to cut down the t-handles for the clamps- they were set too close to the bucket sides to rotate. Now they are hard to tighten, causing some shifting. They also have bent a little.

There are lots of forks on e-boy & amazone, but I'd question the quality.

Nothing much to "elaborate" about.
Glue without primer would have very likely worked!
Try it sometime, just to validate condition.
Primer without glue....very obviously not!

I finished changing the oil this morning i.e. added about 12.7 quarts of new Schaeffer oil. This M6060 takes almost twice as much engine oil as the MX6000 (7.4 quarts) and almost as much oil as my 7.3L F250 (15 quarts) despite only being a 3.3L engine vs. the 2.4L engine in the MX!! It's always been a mystery to me as to the oil capacity of engines I've owned over the years, and there have been many. There seems to be little rhyme or reason.

Another oddity I noticed that I don't think I've ever seen before is that there are two engine oil fill caps. I guess Kubota had to add another when they realized that the exhaust stack was in the way of the first one.

Mine have never shifted, with just hand tightening, even lifting logs.
I use mine as forks all the time, but sometimes they are just not long enough, such as lifting a pallet, or a large piece of furniture.

I should point out that the trouble I had getting my forks delivered was right at the start of the covid fiasco, when virtually nothing or no one was normal.
