Katy contributed to her new home. First, she moved the stack of siding to the other side of the floor so I don't have to carry it so far.

I note that you are using chain to prevent stabilizer droop.
I have found that a simple lightweight ratchet strap, between the stabilizers themselves, is very adequate.

We were in Pa. for 2 week for a family wedding. Our son went out to check the house and found this hanging in the drive. You can just get past it on the right if you fold the mirrors in.
He is coming out the drive in this photo.
The one closer to his car is from a storm back in August. 42 logs for the saw mill from that storm.

At 192 hours, but before I get to the 200 hour maintenance window, I decided to change the front axle fluid to 80w-90 gear oil.

I recently had back surgery and per doc I am still limited on bending, twisting. I could do this without having to stoop, twist, crawl on the ground, or lay on back on ground. Well, within reason anyways.

Got it done. Messed around a bit.

And, then sat back and watched a slow, steady rain fall for a couple hours. With Texas in the drought it’s in, it was the first rain I have seen in a couple of months. It was relaxing just listening to it on the shed’s metal roof.

Used the bucket to carry the two batteries for my truck from the garage to the truck. I had taken them out to work on another truck that a friend has.

It was like that when I got it. I think the chains are more for boom swing and sag, neither pin is installed.

I was out mowing broom sedge & some blackberry brambles I had sprayed previously, when ran across some prickly pear cactus. The cactus doesn’t go well with the brome grass so it must go away.

Dug a hole to bury the cat that passed away recently. Wished a time or three I’d gotten the backhoe. Used the bucket as a wheelbarrow for the spoils.

Later switched to the grapple and shoved the top 30’ of a 60’ dead maple tree off one of the trails. Thought about cutting it up and chipping it but had other stuff to do so just spent about 15 minutes pushing, breaking, piling, and grabbing pieces from where they were stuck in nearby trees. So now there’s a small brush pile near the trail but it’s down in the woods so maybe I’ll clean it up some more this winter. Or not.

Failed at taking pics. By the time I started good on the tree it was over.

I spent about 5 hours cutting my friend's fields yesterday afternoon/evening. I like the 540E option on the tractor. I ran around in mid range 4th gear for the most part (1,800rpm) but it was on the bumpy side. I cut his field in late June when it was a lot taller and thicker so this went faster. This was the last cut for this year and I always enjoy helping him out. We loaded up the trailer as the sun was setting. A good day for sure.

Time to unload the M6060 from the trailer and change the oil.

We received a little rain last week & my wildlife plots are coming up. The temps are slowly dropping. I better get my deer stands ready. I put them back in the same places as last year, which makes trimming easier. A little more practice with the bow & I’m ready.
