Sewer line job today featured a huge belly in the line. New homeowners purchased this place this past year. Yep. You guessed it. No inspections....

I didn't get many pics of final but it was a long day none the less.

Diggy

Really nice soil

trench done

raised the outlet coming out of the foundation by 4" and we just had enough pitch (1/8" / ft) to make the connection. I simply can't believe that this system was working at all with that large of a belly in the line.

on to a water service job tomorrow...
Assuming that you don't bill/get paid, until the job is completed, have you ever had trouble getting payment?
None of my business..... is a valid answer!

Holy cow. Beside myself with excitement to perform my 50 hr on my L4060. Oil...check. HST filters, I lost way more fluid than 1-I thought I would and 2- way more than what I've seen on these videos. As I'm a rookie, I had 2 gallons on hand for recovery...check. First time removing loader. Watched a ton of videos in preparation.... removing it was fine. Re-installing it, for the very first time... wowzers! and the neighbor (74yr old farmer whos seen and done everything except own a tractor with a removable, or any, loader) telling me what I'm doing wrong to get the loader back on. Between the two of us and some creative language, gotter did! Greased and ready to roll for another 50!

Installed a grill guard in preparation for moving a bunch of fallen trees. Should be able to get to them next week since the snow has finally melted and the ground is firming up.

No. No issue really. They get half up front then the balance is collected before we leave.

I dropped the tailgate right off the truck! Luckily another Kubota was within reach for me to pick it and place it back on the truck. :p

Still working on mower, but it’s still 10’ from tractor….

Scrubbed up underside with a wire cup on die grinder. Blades sharpened and reinstalled. Greased and gearbox drained standing up. Left a NO OIL note on it to refill before it goes under tractor…..😉

80 degrees tomorrow, but 40-50’s all next week. Still have some time.

I’m really starting to consider a RFM. My yard isn’t wide open, but betting I could figure one out real quick. Not my first rodeo.

Of course that typically is my luck. Rather have that then buy something and have it go 50% off two days later lol
It was $50 off the other day but that ended too if that helps 😂

Good simple plan.
Straight job bid?
Never any "extras"?
Straight bid. Change orders when warranted...extra plumbing work, rock clause and extra thick concrete.

even better, I brush hogged for 2 hours and all fluid levels were on! I've spent 20 years working on high-level equipment (think Intel and Micron, semiconductor manufacturing), never my own rudimentary hydraulic systems. It's great to feel like I've done something (read... my own money and high risk!)

Found a 2 inch gouge in the side wall. Debating on putting a tube in it or replacing it.
Took tire off and brought it to a tire repair place. figured I would check on the possibility of a big patch and a tube. Nope. Too big of cut. Dealer called today to tell me it’s cheaper to buy the tire and rim than just the tire. Ordered it. Will be here next week. I’ll put the rim away in case I bend one in the future.

See if anyone in your area does vulcanizing.
