What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Finally broke down and bought one of those semi truck air line spring for my grapple lines. Went to install yesterday and promptly pulled the little stops through the washers…. Hmmm, I’ll fix that. Scrap piece of plate and some metal glue. Much betterer.

The gold paint was within reach.

I put the pivot pin back in my seat since my wonderful dealer didn't install the cotter pin, it never ends.

Is it common in your area to find a (6"?) well like that completely buried (no pitless)?

No. Not common at all...fortunately. We do see some that are actually in a well pit (older farm houses) but at least you can easily find the well.

Installed a set of 2" spacers. Learned that the dealer had fluid filled the tires as a courtesy!

Did the same thing,, while I lke this LITTLE tractor if the assend was 6 inches wider it sure would be a lot more stable onthe hills here in the coal country!

Question,,, Am I the only one that has to blue lock tight every bloody nut on my tractor? I know sometimes things work loose but dayum !!!!

The hose saver was a welcome addition here. Between that, and relocating the 3rd function couplings, I don't have to think about them getting kinked.

I was sorta surprised I’ve made it this far without a busted/pinched line. Though, I was well aware while doing any work with it.

A nearby farmer has a shiny M7-151 Kubota in his dooryard. Set of 16 (?) foot discs behind it.

The family has used good older (60-80’s) tractors for years.

Sold cows years ago, older generations passed away.

They continued with some crops. He does a good job of it, and has a pretty good string of beef as well..

Seen it many times, unfortunately.

Don’t know first thing about an M7-151, but it looked small…..wondering if it could really pull that set of discs.

Just too light to pull much? Looked tiny to me.

Among others, I think they have a Case 630 or 730. Would count on them first. Just a lot bigger and heavier.

D2Cat has a great 630. He’d know better.

Not disparaging anyone. The farmer may not own the tractor. He may have have leased the property to someone else.

If he does own the tractor, he is a prudent business person, and has run a farm for decades.

Just surprised me how little the tractor looked.

I put the last 3 pilings in for my dock.
There was a pretty good storm last night just E of me. The kind that builds up & just sits there. It’s hard to know what to wish for, rain, or get the work done, then rain. OR, some rain, but not to much.

We had a well at our last house that was totally under ground. Had an idea where it was, but didn't know for sure. All new wells around here have to have casings that are at least at foot above ground.

I drove an M6-141 a few feet a couple of years ago. That thing seemed like a beast at the time. Too bad you don't have a photo of the M7 with the discs ... that'd be cool to see.

It is parked near a decent size corn dryer and grain bin, so maybe that changes perspective.

"at least a foot above the ground"...... is the proper way.

I note that in the area were I was raised, 4" well casings are often 6" or less above ground.
This is a bad idea, as surface water from rain can find it's way into those wells, thus contaminating drinking water.
Building/plumbing/health inspectors, in the area, apparently ignore the issue.

I found a cotter pin on my garage floor. Spent considerable time under tractor inspecting linkages where it may have come from. Couldn’t find any missing. A few weeks later, found where it came from when seat became floppy.

Yeah, I think if you walked up to the M7 you'd get a sense of how big it is. Grain bins make most things look small! I don't know if step height on tractors is somewhat standard, but based on the MX and M, the rise is around 10-1/2". I always notice how many steps it takes to get in the cab and consider it a basic reference for the overall size of a tractor when looking at photos. The MX has a measly two steps to get into the cab, the M6060 has three, the M6 has four steps and the M7 has five!

Too bad Kubota doesn't have a poster showing the entire tractor lineup to scale. That would be cool.
