Bummer, I currently have my first pup, who was mine since he was actually a puppy, and I can't imagine losing this guy, will likely break me.

Stopped at my dealer to get new radiator hoses for the B1700 and saw this beauty outside. L6060 50th Anniversary. Not sure the bill on this but man I would hate to scratch that paint. I’m liking the grey FEL though.

I did some fence building today. Welding the pipe & getting ready to stretch the barbed wire.
A fitting burial for a fine animal and friend. Good job. Very sorry to hear of your loss. I've been there myself and know how you must feel.
Sorry for your loss Vlach7. Much too young. I too lost 2 GSDs at 7 and 8 yrs. Really hurts.
Decided to help the neighbor remove ice off their driveway, wow, the BX's FEL made the task... fun, and easy, wow - I'm still learning how to operate it, so I'm sure I'm a lot slower than most of you on here, but glad I invested in a bigger sub-compact tractor (I know it's also very small to most of you on here) versus getting a bigger lawn tractor.

One thing I (and several others) did was add a UHMW plastic edge to the loader. I made mine from a 4" X 48" ¾" piece. (Got mine from Peachtree Woodworking, but it's available on Ebay). I drilled and countersunk mine so the bolt heads are flush, and put a 30° bevel on the leading edge. The plastic is plenty sturdy, but won't gouge the asphalt of my driveway.

There's also a several month old thread (started by me) about adding a step to the tractor to make getting onto it easier when the mower deck is removed. BX2380 step? | OrangeTractorTalks - Everything Kubota

Installed the left rear axle after repairing a hole in it. Now I need to know how to check the fluid level. There is no dip stick

Probably there is a plug in the side of the tramsmi that you remove and fill the sump until oil runs out the hole.
plug is probably near the clutch pedal on the left side of the case and really looks like a flanged head bolt but should have a sealing washer underneath it
owners manual at kubotabooks dot com actually shows the location and shows a sight gauge

Cleaned the driveway and then cleared the path to our cabin. R14s and no chains works well for me.

If it is going to be cold, might as well snow. Plus I can burn my winter fuel lol.
Gotta go back out in a bit and do another pass.........then get the Honda HSS tracked blower going to do the walkways and dog areas.......... my wife said she would do the decks and rake the roof.....I need to really take my time on the driveway then to "allow" her proper time to complete those tasks otherwise I will also be raking the roof and why would I take that pleasure away from her, right?
Damn, it amazes me what a good husband I am sometimes........lol

We’ve done quite a bit of cleaning up windfallen trees on the trails but I’ve been neglectful in not taking pics. This isn’t the best photo op we had of that job but at least it’s something.
Also, on the way to grappling the bush to a hole in the woods, noticed the ditch by the trail to the dam was silted in a bit and losing water across the road. On the way back, dropped the hydraulic sidelink and cleaned it out. Switched from grapple to bucket and used the stuff from the ditch to get started on filling the hole left by the bush.
All that got my wife and I talking about how long those chores would have taken without the L; if we had hand tools, chainsaw, and a small truck like we did back in the day. She figured about 3 full days for both of us working together. I agreed. With the L, grapple, top/tail, bucket, box scrape… total of 3 and a half hours for me; about an hour for her. Sometimes I still feel a little spoiled using this thing.
Greased up and played with the new EA grapple today. Nothing worth a photo. Lol. Moved a couple logs closer to the burn pile. Basically just to get the grease spread around and air purged from the cylinders. Yes, I did top up the hydro fluid too

This might be a bit silly but at least it’s different.
Been cleaning, clearing out, and renovating my father’s house for a few months getting it ready to rent to my son following my father’s passing. This contractor saw was THE last thing to be cleaned. Really hadn’t planned to clean it because I’m leaving it for my son, and after all it’s a table saw and it isn’t rusty or otherwise functionally impaired so why clean it? (First pic is after cleaning.)
This is why clean it. It was a spidery mess underneath. No shade to my father. No telling when he last used it and I’m not planning to clean the bottom side of my table saw when I’m in my 80’s if I make it that far.
I could also see the box he made for catching sawdust was also a mess and needed to come out to clean adequately. I have a similar box in my Delta contractor saw and it’s perfectly legit it needs to be a tight fit to catch as much as possible but I couldn’t figure any way to get it out without flipping the saw on its side and I wasn’t sure the legs would hold up doing that. Could be there’s a Chinese puzzle trick to it that Dad designed in but I was too stupid to figure out. Quite possible since he was a lot smarter than I am. Could be he emptied it with a shop vac and never took it out. While pondering the Chinese puzzle possibilities I was reminded of my Rubik’s cube solution back in the day: messed with it about 10 minutes, rearranged the stickers to “solve” it, and never touched it again.
So… To heck with clever solutions. Say hello to my little friend.

Forked several other things around in the cleaning process today. Still don’t know how people survive without a forklift.
